  1. Yea mine did that on the Drifter too when I bought it!!!!

I got Richard Eaccott to look at it and he fixed it somehow, he could probably tell you over the phone - call him on 0428 632 476

Really nice guy, knows ''everything'' about Rotax's - However wont ever answer his phone if he's playing golf and I have a feeling he plays on sundays hahah!

Give him a try though I bet he will be able to help ya

  2. Ah cool, sounds like you had a good trip, sad to see the red rocket go though :-(

Gee that Fisher 912 is schmicko!!!!! My dream drifter for sure.

My 503 is still without a gearbox so I have resorted to RC models to fill the aviation void, talk about FUN!!!! only had one bad crash into the house roof so far

  3. RAA pilots...get to make the decisions without being challenged(by other pilots)/denied(by ATC)....We lost 2 out of Temora....everyone on the ground knew that they should not have launched....at last light....they did and paid the price...noone called them back

seems to have happened at Monto ....again.....

Yeah it's all RAAus fault........ SeeIfiCare we should probably cancel the West Aus RAAus fly-in cause it's bound to happen again hey.075_amazon.gif.0882093f126abdba732f442cccc04585.gif

  4. Tonksy, I saw you departing Boonah Today, about half hour later 2 Drifters and a Trike landed and are camped at Boonah overnight, Don't know who they are or where theyre from, might drop over and say gday in the morning before work..... NIce looking Drifters too.

  5. You may be right Alf, I just wish that it wouldn't happen........

Some eerie coincidences I have noticed over the years with these type of accidents..............:

The pilot is always ''Extremely accomplished, never took risks, so experienced, etc....'' ( which I am NOT disputing in Des' case!)

The other, more frustrating coincidence is that nearly ALWAYS the day after, or second day after a CFIT accident, the day dawns bright blue, sunny glorious flying weather. For example, when a fellow flew his Drifter uneventfully from Boonah all the way down to Victoria then Tasmania, yet crashed and died trying to fly through Cunninghams Gap in IMC conditions (15nm from Boonah!) The next day was the most beautiful flying day you ever saw, and all the pilots joined the search for him flying in beautiful conditions....... I couldn't stop thinking, if he had just waited ONE more night at Warwick......He'd be flying home in this beautiful weather too....Just so sad.

    :-(

  6. Hello Derek, with regards to Willowbank, I believe there is more behind the cancellation than some of us may know.

    BUT - GOOD NEWS!!!!

Brian Scoffell will be holding the Spitfire Fly-In at Boonah instead!!!!!!

    WOO HOO!!!!!

Heaps of interesting aircraft here at Boonah now too with Nigel Arnot's operation in full swing, looks like its going to be a great event.

All I know at this stage is that it should be in October some time so I will try and keep you posted if you wish......

    Cheers

  7. Like I say Tomo, you are my hero HAhhah, and an inspiration too. Love the idea of the Tecnam taildragger but yes the cargo pod looks out of place and something about the way the main gear legs 'sit' doesn't look right, but hey, I m no expert..... I suppose if it does the job........ Would love to fly one...

Runway light............what runway light...... hahahahahahahaha, i like your honesty
