http://m.townsvillebulletin.com.au/news/emergency-crews-rush-to-ultralight-aircraft-crash/story-fnjfzs4b-1227203959646various reports suggest engine would not restart after a loss of power drill[

No that isn't what appears to have happened Bluespot........Training Drifter 503 was being operated by CFI and student in front. Emergency landing practise was conducted onto strip and due possible tailwing or associated turbulence the aircraft failed to climb sufficiently above trees at end of airstrip on subsequent take-off....pilot initiated a turn ..aircraft lost height and contacted the ground.

Minor injuries suffered by both.

We had very hot NE wind conditions on the day ( normally SE) and conditions can be very changeable in that area with those winds. Incident was around 8am and wasn't the first landing conducted. CFI very experienced and student experienced also returning to sport after several years absence

Would have to wonder where you actually got your 'various reports' from Bluespot?.......

Dont wonder Maj -- you could just ask

Courier mail print edition but not on their online version and local Quest -- only sharing what I came across. I can't send a link to the printed newspaper!
