davebutler
I have been asked by a friend to plan a mid year trip from Brisbane (YBAF) to Lake Erie. I am not familiar with the area at all and would appreciate any help. We would like to keep the trip to 4-5 days, flying for about 4 hours a day and will be flying a C172S. I am after places of interest we could land at and most importantly places where we can refuel. Thanks Dave B.
turboplanner
Canada's a long series of four hour hops Dave, but if you meant Lake Eyre, I would definitely include Bidsville then track down the Birdsville Track, Lake Eyre, Marree, Flinders Ranges and back via Broken Hill

Spin
Sounds like a good trip Dave, did you see the doco on Lake Eyre on Sunday evening? Pretty fascinating.
dunlopdangler
when you are at Birdsville, make sure you take in "Big Red"...it will more than likely be chockers with 4WD adventurers and they all wave when you fly over.
