Keenaviator
I'd like to see him thermal this! Awesome!!
rgmwa
I'd like to see him thermal this! Awesome!! Thermal? Two times `glide like a rock' still equals `glide like a rock'. That's why he went on to strap jets to it. Much better result! rgmwa
Keenaviator
Oh derr, do you think! Still don't know of too many rocks that can sustain a 4.5:1 glide. Yes, my comment re thermalling was tongue in cheek. It would have to be a pretty big and strong thermal for something with a (my estimated) best L/D at around 100 knots. rgmwa
Still don't know of too many rocks that can sustain a 4.5:1 glide. Ever skipped any flat stones across the water? They have a pretty good glide ratio. Anyway I'm not knocking his suit or his achievements. He has done some amazing things with those rigid wing suits. Sorry if I came across a bit sarcastic. My comment was meant to be tongue in cheek too. rgmwa
Sapphire
Longer wings, streamlining, a small engine tied to his forehead and he could be a motor glider.
Guest Forgotten Password
Yes BUT motor gliders can't be registered with the RA-Aus so there goes that idea
Sapphire
Why not?
