Summary: Today on the show we are going to be talking about all things related to Autogyros with Pilot John McDermott. In the interview John and I talk about his recent 5000 nautical mile trip where he flew with Rick and Kay from Berowra in a pair of Cavalon Autogyros from Nowra in NSW to the Gulf of Carpentaria, across to the Kimberleys returning home via Lake Ayre and the Flinders Ranges.

Thank you....nice read.

 

there are now.......some brilliant machines getting released. Even night IFR rated.

 

Gyros are now, really showing impressive credentials, ( going are those "dark days" )

 

"Professional" training, is bearing great pilots, ( the cowboy pilots are getting less and less )

 

ASRA.......has a lot to be proud of........well done.

Thanks Russ. I tend to agree.

 

I had no idea the new Auto Gyros were so capable until I did this interview. The interesting part for me was the fact that they are quite capable in strong crosswinds and turbulence in comparison to light fixed wing aircraft.

i've recently sold this........[ATTACH]37354[/ATTACH]

 

now i've seen the cavalon.............100L usable, cruise 75, Rotax 912/914........( looks like the kids inheritance is going to take another hit )
