If they were removed from the grip of the RAAus and allowed to fly like FAR103s do, then you would see them all come crawling out of their burrows. I share a lot of your enthusiasm for the basic stuff but not sure it will ever be what it was once. What we have is what we have and is a product of demand, I e mostly bought off the hook aircraft. Efficient modern materials will make the performance greater but costs go higher so further from the stuff you like. I would like to see basic designs tried and proven structures built cheaply available so people who don't have $80+ grand to spend can get started. I think a Gazelle was over 70K when new. Nev.
