Changes to User permissions

[Admin]

All the site permissions have been reviewed and reset according to the different user group levels. The User groups are:

 

1. Non-Registered...those that are just viewers of the site and are not registered - very basic restricted permissions
    
    
   
2. Registered User...those that are registered and can use the site and all its resources
    
    
   
3. Suppliers...registered user plus can create threads in the Suppliers Forum
    
    
   
4. First Class Members...registered user with many extra benefits - see below for some of the extra benefits they have
    
    
   
5. Moderators...registered users plus first class members plus full moderating privileges
    
    
    
   
6. Administrator...no restrictions other than access to user Personal Conversations
    
    
   

 

 

 

Permissions on Signatures for Registered Users have become more restrictive as in no links, images, lists, smilies etc. I strongly recommend that all users check their signatures and edit them to suit. When you edit your Signature in your settings it will adjust them accordingly. In the coming days the site will run a script that will remove any Signature automatically that does not resolve to the new permission settings. This is being done as a thank you to those that support the site by being a First Class Member.

Can you name another site so that someone has to enter it manually or copy it into the address bar but not as a hyperlink, eg flickr?

Yes, but within reason as long as the address does not contain any commercial advantage to the user (otherwise it is deemed as promotion) or detrimental to this site in any way
