On Tuesday evening as I drove home I saw 7 fire appliances heading north … from locations as far away as the southern highlands. And this morning coming in past the Armidale airport the chinook is up and out dumping water from 830. Trust me - that’s one hell of a big Bambi bucket that thing lifts.
