Siso Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Does anyone think that RAAUS would do some work on sorting making it easier to replace the 503 and 582 on high drag ultralights now it seems they have the airspace access and heavier MTOW sorted. While these engines can be rebuilt, I would be worried about the condition of crankshafts (roller bearings) which don't seem rebuildable. (parts etc) Seems like the current process at the moment will price these aircraft out of existence. Is it possible to build a Drifter or Thruster out of second hand parts and call it home built? facthunter Posted May 27 Posted May 27 I would like to think some support is there for these aircraft. Nev 1 1
spacesailor Posted May 27 Posted May 27 I doubt RaAus will even think about the ' undesirable ' cheap aircraft . More high specs & high price , means more for their organisaItion . GA is their dream in a lesser organisation.. spacesailor 1 2
