Worked as a professional news photographer for 25 years with a major Sydney daily and was chief photographer for a major central NSW paper before moving south to runa small local papers' photographic dept, where I took it from the black and white wet darkroom to the full digital era for pre-press production.

Currently taking a well earned sabattacle in the health care industry. Although prohography was a hobby that turned into a career, my big love has always been movie making and presently have a micro business revolving around video production and news gathering.

Jeez Ben, you've woken me up! I'm too far gone for pornography but "prohography" has got my attention. Black & white, wet and dark, full digital...??? Hey babe, do I need pills to get up to speed or should I take some just to settle me down? ;)

Cheers

Mmm, started off my career in electronic engineering (N.Dip Elec Eng) and worked in R&D for 6 years. Got bored so I did a Marketing Management Dip and worked in the automotive industry (supply of automotive electronics) for 9 years; Export Manager position gave me the opportunity to see a lot of the world. Left and started my own business, again in automotive electronics. Sold out 3 years ago and sat around for a while. Now working as Sales & Marketing manager for another electronics company involved in the parking and traffic industry. Travel extensively.

Started flying 2 years ago and fly Aquilla flex-wing trike.

Currently looking for an opportunity in Australia as I have a 3-year-old daughter who needs a future.

I hope that there is enought space on this page. I got my PPL when I was 18 years old and a motormack appy, but worth it. Then joined the South African Air Force as a ATC for a couple of years but bekieved that there was more to life and went into the private sector. Did brickmaking for a couple of years and then became a blacksmith and was eventually involved in the sales and service of clients with a spring company. Then the big crunch I got involved in motor sport for nearly 18 years but now I have a motto " there are only kings and cows in motorsport and I have never seen a king there"

I did motorsport commentary on radio and TV for many years until my Real Estate company was strong enough to by me a ultralight. It took me 30 years to get back into aviationand appart from making money thats all I live for now. I have my own private T hanger and we have the ocasional bash once flying has stopped, and I also do a bit of writing for our local microlight and ultralight magazine called African Skies. Gee so the page was long enough, happiness to all in aviation, stay alive.

G'day Everyone,

New here but it's an awesome site.

I'm in the building game, carpenter, Reg Builder, I've had my own building business but now work for the 4th largest residential home builder in Oz based in WA where I work as the group QC manager and OSH officer. Very happy in this role so it will probably see me to retirement although that may be some time off yet.

I first learnt to fly in a Drifter at Narrogin but now mostly fly Gazelles with Bluesky Aviation at Beverley. Still wishing for my own UL.

Cheers,

Ian

Hi Guys/gals and in-betweens , as many of you have given your career history istead of just your current occupation, I'll follow suit with mine.

Having failed a marine radio course at college, morse code sent me nuts, I joked with my father that I'd join the RAF. Next day he had me in the recruitment office and I joined up to be an airborn radar mech. After 1 year on the fabulous Blackburn Beverly (look it up) with 47Sqdn, did a tech course for E.E. Lightnings and finished a 15 year stint servicing their attack radars and later, their entire navigation instument and auto stab/pilot systems. Served with 19, 23 and 74 Sqdn in UK and Singapore. Also handled Meteors, Venoms, Hunters, Javelins, Spitfires, Hurricans and Lancaster of the B.o.B. Historic Flight, the occassional Harrier and various overseas visitors, particular Tiger Sqdns. Met Douglas Bader and took an instant dislike to him, very up himself. However, I digress. In civilian life I got involved in quality control, initially in the electronic world with Gilbarco's where we designed and built the first electronic petrol bowsers, then later turned to the mechanical side of things. Emigrated in '82 and got involved with the auto industry. My final 20 years of employment were with Tenneco Walker, exhaust systems, where I became their Metrologist (not Meterologist) working on prototype systems and tooling. Been retired for 6 months although today is my 65th birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME :):):) Want to build my own plane but the other half has other ideas so will be content to fly a Jabiru out of Murray Bridge here in good ol' S.A. Cheers and all the best for this new year to you all.

I am now Sales and Marketing manager for an SME specialising in voice and data switching for defence, ATC, C2, etc...

Joined the RAAF as an engineer officer out of high school - Frognall 27ECS for any other Froggers out there :) ... 15 years later left and joined Optus managing a Professional Services business unit and then 2 years at NAB before my current role... now learning to fly (now wishing I had when I could have done it real cheap at Point Cook 20 years ago lol) and would love to get paid to fly in some way ... open to suggestions!

Cheers,

Lee.

I saw your Pulsar some months back while visiting Ron Fiebig. He informed me that you were having a few difficulties, but can't remember what they were. At the time I was considering a Pulsar. However, weight reduction would be mandatory for me to fly a Pulsar.

Well Ferd, looks like this thread has died in the arse a while ago. lets try and resurect it. I am a structures engineer looking to contract myself to farmers with sick planes. I am self efficient with tooling and 24 years experience willing and capable to re skin fuselages and wings, anything structural. It's time to do my own thing. Currently employed by Virgin Australia.
