  9. hi, I use the "triple head to go" and its brilliant. If you can, I would use this option as it can be used on any system, like when upgrading etc. Where as using 2 g.cards would mean you would have to upgrade both cards when upgrading your system. I love using it with head tracking software / hardware as well. It gives a whole new dimension.
  10. I just did my first solo cct on saturday 22, and still buzzing. Can't wait to get up again. I'm flying with Airsport Qld at Boonah, Qld. I had done about 5 ccts / T&O then was told to land (a bit early in the session) I was told to pull over halfway down the strip and as I stopped, Dave (my instructor) told me " its now your turn to go by yourself. I couldn't believe it, and didn't until I taxied back to the end of 22 and had done my pre t/o checks. From then on was a buz and an unbelievable feeling. It was awsome and I can't wait to do it again. I was suprised as I had only done aprox 9.5 hrs total. It was and still is the best feeling !!!
  11. Well.. it was my first lesson and it was great.. We actually got through half of the second lesson as I picked up everything pretty quickly (probably all those years of practice on flight sim-LOL). I'm doing the lessons on a weekly basis but it seems like forever away.. can't wait till saturday to get back in the air !

  13. Hi, My name is Elias. I live at Eagleby Qld (about halfway between the Gold Coast and Brisbane). I'm a mad Flight sim Fan (addict - hehehe) and have been since i was 12 yrs old (now 29). I have just received the opportunity start my RA licence and still deciding where to do it. I'm going for a fly with a mate on monday out at Boonah, but there is also Heckfield (Jacobs well) which is a lot closer to where I live. Just wondering if anyone else has been flying around these 2 strips, or knows of any others in my local area. I've been to the RA website and these 2 seem to be the closest. Also, what is the average cost (per hour) for lessons. I've been quoted $180 per hour. Does this sound about right? Thanks in advance and look forward to chatting with you all.. Elias
