  1. I have a J3300 in an Esqual and would like to join the group.
  2. Hi Jack , give me a call 0418 327 155, I know of a kit that you may be interested in, Ray.
  3. Hi Mike, this ECU is for fuel injection only but Haltech also make an ECU for ignition as well. you would not need one for carbs. Haltech is the company that makes the ECU's, I am sure they would be available in the USA. I am from Australia. Check out [email protected] Have included a photo of the Mahle pistons which are over 100 grams lighter than the standard cast Pistons . Cheers, Ray.
  4. Hi zenith701, I am setting up an electronic fuel injection system for this engine and was going to use a crank triggered CDI ignition with individual coil packs for each cylinder. The ECU I am using is a Haltec 3d fuel only. The project has stalled at the moment due to time constraints, however I'm well under way with having had made a set of Mahle forged Pistons and found a pair of twin port heads. Cheers, Ray.
  5. Hi Ray. Just got a phone call from Phill at Argo. He is trying to contact you but your email isn't working. If you are wanting to talk to him, you had better resend or give him a call. Cheers Will
  6. Hi Will, Thanks for that info, I will chase up Argo and see if they still have the drawings. Were they made the same length as the standard rods or were they longer? My thoughts are if you are going to make new rods ,longer ones would enable you to have a shorter piston thus reducing the rod angle, just my thoughts. Thanks again Will, cheers, Ray.
  7. Hi, I am rebuilding an EA 81 and would like to know more about the custom con rods and where they are available from. Cheers Ray.
  8. Terry, problem solved. I feel a bit of a dill, Ihad fitted a new Hobbs meter and that is where the clicking was coming from. Thanks again for the advice.
  9. Thanks for that info Terry, the clicking is continuous and a slow rate with the engine running or not, will check other things now I know it is not normal. Thanks again.
  10. I have a VM1000 which is working fine , the data control unit is constantly clicking as if in start up mode all the time . Is this normal or do I have a problem? can someone help? Thanks.
