I was stressing like crazy when I did my GFPT flight test I was nervous, sweaty palms and my good old instructor kept saying just think of it as just another duel flight and you will be right and half way through I took a breath and all worked out good with a pass. So good on ya mate know how it feels!!

On the news today Quants has another engine problem on take off but all was good pilots don't lift off runway and when safe the pilots told passengers that the engine-had cooked its self, but it has me mad in the next breath the reporter was like "this comes only months after an engine on a Quants air bus exploded in air grounding all there fleet" with pictures of the burnt out airbus engine for most of the report. How much longer are they the media going to keep on ripping Quants to the ground I think they are a safe airline with great experienced pilots. The media should wake up itself and report on the story at hand and stop dramatizing everything...just my thoughts

I for one want to try get some monthly BBQs and some get togethers going out at warnervale as a social side to the club. I know there is a lot of younger guys that have no idea that there is even a chance of warnervale closing. If we could all get together and meet each other and get a good club going I feel we would have more of a chance in saving it as well. Every one will know what's going on and we will all have a better idea from the board what there intentions are and how they are giving it there all to save warnervale. I have a resturaunt I am happy to organize the BBQ and do the cooking lol

I agree that for warnervale to pull through this we are all going to have to get together as one and put everything behind us all with GA and RAA. I hope that we can become a great club with all types of aviation running from a good airport. I also think that it ts a great idea on giving out some free or cheepper flights to the local community, getting them up in the air on a nice day being able to see Sydney to the South and Newcastle to the north and the lovely Norahhead Light house to the East that would have to be a win....

Malcom Brook and his wife was there which was a great positive for the airport, on the local council side of things. It was also stated that the new guy in the Wyong shire council is not interested in selling of any of the assets in the Area, which is including the airport an other great bit of news. As for the microlights and trikes there are plans of training out of warnervavle under some stricked rules that will apply to the new users so it is a win win situation as there will be more people around useing the airport evey weekend..there is a few other things that were on the cards but can not be said untill finalized theyare also very exciting so I am hoping that we can all get together and keep it opened for may years to come

I went to the AGM today and it is looking good for warnervale airport from what the board had to say today it's should be the start of. A good thing so heres hoping. It was the 1st AGM I have been to and it was sad to see that there was only myself and 1 other guy the age of 30 and i am well sure the other 25 people were between 45 and 70. I am hoping in the future that we can get the younger pilots interested in the going ons with there training airport. Apparently they said today mirvac has the Belmont airport up for sale for 8.5 million so good luck getting that for it.

I know you mean I want to be able to do it with out electrics and I think Wayne you flip out if he found that your flight plan was from a computer lol that's why I like him as an instructor.

Downloaded this app on my iPad and love it so easy to use and it's all at your finger tips I hate searching through my ersa looking for strips just search and it's there great job guys

hey i have flown with 4 different instructors up to my GFPT and they were all very different form one and other, One instructor young Andrew i call him would be like early 30ish and the oldest i am guess is Wayne the owner of Warnervale Air he would have to be late 50s i am guessing. For the first nave we did not go to much in to it but i am going with the 6 min method and mostly pilotage with some DR

I am stinging to go up in the Citabria last year for Christmas i bought a voucher for both my Chef and my Waitress at work for a 40min flight in the Citabria, the spin was i did not tell them till we got to Warnervale the look on there faces was just terror.. when they both got down from there flight they said it was the best thing that they have ever done.. So now just for my turn lol. After speaking with Wayne a few week ago it is such a shame that the Citabria is not getting to fly much these days. When i am talking to any one if at work or friends i am always pushing it as the perfect gift for ether birthday or Christmas gifts..i did a lot of my training with young Andrew and when i booked in the flight i asked him to take them up and give them the ride of there life and he sure did that they still talk about it to this day

this is true we need so make some noise but in the right way that will help Warnervale. My Uncle lives just behind there and is always whining about the noise on a Sunday morning of the planes doing circuits. It was not until i took him up for a fly that he was convinced and now can see why we all love it (flying) so much. When he got to have a great look over Norah Head Light House and there were some dolphins swimming just of the heads he could see the good side of what was to offer on his back door step.

hi there David no problems i did not even know that there was going to be a meeting, what time is it so i can work out something with work and i will be there. Dose every other member know about it and what your plans are, it would be what the club needs by the sound of the conversations that i have had with you.

I am a chef with my own resturaunt in gosford if only we could get nice meat like that here I usually get to Currabubula at about 1am Wednesday morning and then head in to the butcher wednesday lunch time to get some snags for a BBQ for dinner

David if we need to all get in to save warnervale I just feel it should all be starting to happen now and it just seames as the same as everything that it will be to little to late by the club and it's members it would be such a shame to see it go.. Are you still in the club or a part of it
