I'm curious at how it is normally done
I mean with out such a course how does one pass the exam
Also how does one sit the exam

Agreed but why would the person buy something he already has? But then, plans are dirt cheap, someone went to alot of work to ensure you could build the plane, it was safe and it flew so it worth the $500 IMHO. Then some... Just saying
It actually completely different person B is not going to resell the plansIt is like buying a CD, copying the music to your MP3 player and then flogging the CD. It is called theft unless the designer/publisher is OK with the copying..Using your CD example
It like a Musician buying the CD and learning to play the song/s on it to play in Public
This actually comes under performing rights and it depends on who wrote the song in the first place (I worked in the entertainment industry for 15 years)
So how does one Licence something like a MINI MAX or an aircraft build from plans downloaded form CFair yahoo group etc
Then there's the problem with the CRI CRI and who actually owns the rights to the plans
-
Hypothetically speaking
If person A was to let Person B copy the plans for a particular Home build aircraft
Would there be Issues with Person B get to aircraft flyable and registered
Or maybe if Person B acquired the plans by an illegal means Hypothetically speaking of course would there be issues
The plans I recently Bought come with a serial Number I can only assume this is what they are for
But what is they don't come with one
Just asking

Its it possible to do the theory and exams before you start actually flyingIt took me twelve days to Cert, pax and XC - it is a very intense way to go but a full on adrenalin hit all the way, you do need to plan a week off when you get finished to get over the hang-over when you come back down. You don't get time to forget anything between lessons and all that muscle memory stuff comes together well flying twice a day. We did study and exams during the middle of the day, I couldn't sleep if I tried to study or do briefings the night before so we just did briefings before we flew, and did servicing and refuelling after last flight each day so we were ready to go next day with a clear head..There are online courses but I think they are in the states.
Just looking at options

Long way for me to go for an Hour lessonNot only are the prices great, the quality of instruction is excellent too. -
Is there anyone In Vic charging these sort of prices1 hour dual = $150, 1 hour solo = $120.Most Ive seen are $200/h+
-
He seems really friendly and right now, keen on the cheapest price. He charges $150 dual.Thoughts?
WOW wish it was that price here
I'm told the thing to watch out for is the cost of the on ground training some charge some don't

Can someone tell me what the lastest issue is (Month) and what does a new edition hit the newsstands

Ive read that MTOW includes the weight of the Pilot and fuel
If this is correct and MTOW is 614KG for a 2 seater under 95 .55
If I was to buy say a J160 with a MTOW of 540KGs I would have to weight less than 74KGs to get it registered under 95.55
Or have I got it completely wrong (I hope so)

Thanks all
Haven't started yet Still in the What do I do and how stagehi what are you currently learning to fly in also fly out of latrobe valleyI was going through with the RA certificate with Pioneer Av Some time ago
Had a few financial dramas Back on track now (sort of)
I have these Red Balloon Cards that I could use as first few Hours but they are GA or Weight Shift and in Melbourne (have to book something today or they expire)
Long term Plan is to build a Aircraft and am looking at the Mini Max but sourcing materials seems a task and a half around here and I'm not getting any younger
All in the planning stage yet again

Sorry if this has been asked before and such a Newbie Question But
Whats the advantage about training in a certain Aircraft
i.e. if you do you training in say a foxbat you can fly a J160 under the same license??(assuming they are registered RA (or whatever))
What if one was to obtain a certificate in a Microlight can they then fly an ultralight??
Also can one start training with one Flying school and transfer the credited time to another
What License/Certificate do you require for experimental Registered Aircraft??
Where is all this documented ( I remember reading it some time ago and for the life of cannot find it now)
.

Just Contemplating a build (long term thing)

Wondering if theirs can be scratch built in Australia (not interested in a Kit) (material availability etc)
Which of there aircraft's can be registered here as what?
Complete newbie as you may be able to tell

On the corner of Sunbury Rd and Oaklands Rd

And if you don't have an instructor yet
Is it not a good thing to start studying beforehand
or more to the question is the material suitable for studying before Embarking on the Lessons or while buying time to save for lessons
