  1. Congrats , it does take a lot of careful work to get them right , getting the majic 20 c cooler over a standard installation has got to be good for the longevity of the engine !

    My thoughts as i crawled out of the recked Avocet , ( distant memory ) , was , any landind you walk away from ,!

     

    Yea , blood dripping and all that ,!

  3. We have thought about utilising the unused hot water , but even if the waters boiling hot , its still not hot enough , and the capacities not there ,

     

    So , not hot enough , for any worthwhile electric generation ,

     

    Pity though ,

     

    I thought ,as Phill, that having that " spare" capacity , could be used , especially in summer ,

     

    But the "numbers " dont stack up !

     

    I like the idea of pumping water to a head , and , IF , you had the height and dam capacity , well , got me thinking !

  4. OK bex so what do you suggest they do? You seem to be banging on about what height the recovery chute will successfully deploy from. As I have said over and over. This type of VTOL aircraft is always going to have safety issues near the ground. Mitigate as best you can (which I believe they have) then either get on with it or watch from a safe vantage point (possibly on the ground). If you can think of a better system to provide a greater level of safety I suggest to contact Martin JP directly. Any fool can identify fault it takes genus to find solutions..........

    You know your arguing with someone who's not a pilot , dont you ?

    Could you please advise the following details so as to consider the ferry:1. What is the T/T of the airframe & engine.

    2. Is the plane factory built & 24 rego or is it kit built with 19 rego.

     

    3. What city is the plane based in & is it hangared or tied down at an airfield.

     

    4. Would the plane fare across to wherever in WA be paid for.

     

    5. Would all fuel & accomodation costs be reimbursed on safe delivery of the plane to the Sunshine Coast

  6. Aviators have always been good at finding new and innovative ways of dividing us up into smaller and smaller subgroups....... Pretty much the same way that an alcoholic is good at finding his next drink.......Question is can we solve our differences in a way that doesn't divide us?

    Be aware these ARE resistor type plugs, Cant get Iridiums without it.

     

    Ill get pricing and PM each, local post will vary a bit no doubt.
