I recently bought a new ICOM A15 radio and would like to get a battery eliminator to run it off the aircraft battery (12v). Our club Drifters are fitted with them but they no longer appear to be a ICOM spare. It is a battery case with a lead able to be connected to A 12v source. Anyone know where I can obtain one?

I understand that on a tail dragger toe out is better as it acts quicker and pulls the craft back to a more straight line during landing.

The bobbies said they can't shoot down the drones because in the case of a miss (or ricochet) the bullet could go on to injure innocent bystanders.  Fair enough - but aren't there focused "drone-killer" weapons that kill the signal to the drone and so cause it to crash?  I seem to remember NSW police spruiking these rifle-looking things a year or two ago.

Thanks good friend, my wife and I were priviledged to have a relaxing day as passengers on board a R44 for a round trip, Toowoomba, Bribie Island, Caboolture & return. We had two close calls with birds and short final at Caboolture and shortly after takeoff with a hawk/kite. It's hard to believe they actually located the Dump/Land Fill right next to the airfield. It was a nice day for flying with plenty of traffic in the Caloundra, Caboolture and Redcliffe areas with constant radio chatter. Here are a few photos taken today.

I would think dope would do the job ok. I put some inspection rings on the underside of my wing and the the dope just softened the paint and the fabric stuck on well.

While in North Qld on Holiday My wife and I arrange to meet up with Franco and his wife. Franco took me up in his drifter to see the local sights. What a stunning landscape he has to fly in, Beaches, cane Fields, rivers & mountains all within a few miles of his home strip. It was nice to see green again after the tans and browns, the colours of drought and frost damage around my home field on the Darling downs. Had a great day Frank, thanks for the hospital

Anyone know any L2's or L4's in the Gladstone region that could do a condition inspection. Raa listings seem to show Rocky as the nearest but I know that is not a full list as our club his L2's that are not on the list.
