1. Better start fitting balloon tyres to these
2. The pilot certainly has some skill... Just not navigation
3. Me too... Just a matter of time... Till then I'll fly around Southern Sydney areas... Beautiful Mark
4. Glendieve is actually 609m according to the website....
5. In Hobart, you can land at Cambridge Airport http://www.ourairports.com/airports/YCBG/ There are quite a few airports / airstrips south of Hobart http://www.ourairports.com/search?q=Sandfly%2CHobart&mode=geo&show= Glendieve Airport is a private grass strip behind my place.... It is about 700m long, but the grass is not cut all the time and you should ask for permission... I'll be using and maintaining it one day! I haven't landed at any of the others! Cheers Mark
6. If we closed down the "help line" telephone services, there would be plenty in the pot!
7. Hi Rolf, I'm not a plane expert, but suggest getting one along with you if you consider buying - especially before bidding on eBay... You might even find out the history of the plane from the guys on here! Cheers Mark
8. At first read, I like this one - Miranda Cabin Sesquiplane
9. That should keep me busy researching these!
10. But this one is something special

13. Good link.. Thanks! Very nice choice of planes
14. It's on my to do list ... Maybe not in my trike... But it ain't impossible
15. I can't remember where I found this pic.... Could have been for sale in NZ... I'm really liking bi-planes at the moment! Anyone else got some photos of bipes that only need an RAA licence?
16. Clearly, they got bored with their jet ski... Now when they get sick of "whatever that is" they will probably put wings and a prop on it... And fly! Now, that would be fun
17. YWOL is 16/34 and 08/26 so haven't had to try any real cross wind landings In fact, the airfield and runways are so big that you could always land into wind, even if this means diagonally across the intersection. We land on the grass to save the tyres from wearing out.... I have gotten used to the grass and the Tarmac just looks so hard! I'm sure we will end up doing some cross wind and Tarmac landings eventually
18. My favourite book- read it from cover to cover at least 5 times now
19. Good luck Andre ... Interestingly enough, my wife is from Denmark (Bornholm)
20. Ive had the motorbike (sold it) and the boat (about to sell it) and the car (keep'n it). Got a Microlight trike with plans for more planes in the future. I don't reckon it's a mid life crisis - more like a phase of life that many seen to follow ... We always wanted these things, but either couldn't afford it or had other priorities... Marriage, house, kids, school etc etc...
21. My CFI has disconnected one spark plug, turned the fuel off and loosened the oil cap...
22. I got an hour in on Sat and another hour on Sun. All circuits and touch and go landings on grass - the air was very smooth, so was easy to get right. A few landings unassisted Next radio calls Sounds like we are at a similar point. 8.1 hours for me to date flying and I've finished most of the theory during winter Mark
23. http://www.supercub.org/forum/showthread.php?42143-Nflightcam-Review Post #8 has two videos that compare a number of video devices... Well worth a look
