  1. Good to know Well, I'm still learning and loving it! Except last flight when it was turbulent! The shortest runway I've used is 700m and unless I was Jim Twedo, I wouldn't be landing on 150m runways with tress at both ends! Regards Mark
  2. All, Published take off & landing distances for 582 airbourne edge x trike is 218m for TAke off and 228m for landing This distance is based on the following:- - Max take-off weight - No wind - Level, dry grass - At sea level - includes distance to reach 50ft above ground Now, when one has a 20knot headwind (maximum allowable at ground level) one can take off and land in a much shorter distance. For the recorded, the 50m I mentioned in a previous post did not include the distance for the trike to reach or descend 50ft - it was estimated ground roll. Always read your POH, get training before operating your flying machine. Hope this sets those clarify my previous post! Regards Mark
  3. Andy? Not disagreeing with you, but have you flown a trike?
  4. On a windy day, you can takeoff and land in less than 50m... But that's the day for hard work in the air!
  5. I reckon $3k or less From the states is only about double that

  12. I store at home in the shed... Wing folded up I use a 3 bike trailer... Which tows brilliantly (120km/hr) no probs... But we never speed! As I'm still doing lessons, I mostly use the CFI's trike... But once I'm free to go by myself, I'll probably look for hanger space for the time if year when the weather is good I plan to take the trike with me on holidays and fly it from wherever we go! Mark
  13. It's funny how we know our woman needs to manage finances.... I'm glad you got the bike... Time will heal the wounds I've had my fair share of explaining to do... Feel like a used car salesman sometimes If not to my wife - to my parents, whom if I lived under their rules I'd do nothing but pay off my home loan
  14. They have responded.... Sending another one as it should have reached me already....
  15. Hope so.... Just sent them an email to follow up on their end...

  19. My copy of ERSA is 17 Nov 2011 - which is out of date but later than the CASA document YWOL has 1000ft circuits due to noise abatement procedures Regards Mark
  20. http://db.tt/H4t6wCUF Hi, I'm new to file sharing... I've tried to post a link to my PDF I made for my own purposes (so I don't forget how to do it) As I've only De-rigged twice, I thought I'd better take some photos Regards Mark11
