Hi Geoff Thats good you enjoyed flying the sav has it got you working on the 701 a bit harder?Just received my parts today, engine mount fits like a glove and the cowl does not need much work to make it fit a bit better only need some time now to put it all together. Cheers phil

Hi Geoff How is the plane going?I have done most of the fuel lines new tap on the out side purge tank in, only need to bolt my fuel pump on the fire wall nosewheel buggie and my my new nosewheel cap. My engine mount cowl and prop are on there way hope to have them before easter are you going to natfly Cheers Phil

Hi Geoff just had a quick trip to Melbourne on the way back droped in an had a look at the 582 on ebay very corroded on the out side has no covers on the carbs but had good copression what do you think, Cheers Phil

Hi Geoff Just had alook at my bolly prop its a right spinner not a left so looks like a new prop for me, will ring bolly and see if i can just buy blades for the hub.Cheers Phil

Hi Geoff Yes need to change the cowling but dont no how much, get engine mounted then fit the cowl around it .Cheers Phil

Hi Geoff The tap i have is just a brass tap from local engineers shop but very heavy still looking around, have a hole in the floor for the tap just on the passenger side .I have to rewire the dash new control cables, wings i have to a have look inside see if they have been built up to scratch will not put the slats on yet just vgs instead bleed brakes then engine and cowls. Had a play with my mates rotax bed mount tonight it will fit my plane do you think the 582 and gear box will fit that mount mite save me abit of time cheers Phil

Hi Geoff I have a Clydey in the paddock your wife can ride if you ever come down this way Think you mite be right buy buy $170 for a oil tank did not get a price on the radiator you need to order that new windscreen cheers Phil

Hi Geoff Coming good, have not touched the 701 for a few days but will have a go tommorow. Went to the airport to see how the cattle going in the heat this arvo herd there was a fire in the area had a talk to a few DSE boys i now on standby with in half an hour there was 6 fixed wing water bombers and 6 helicopters plus suport planes all working out of the airport so i ended up refueling till we ran out of fuel got home at 9.30 heading back in morning. I hope its a better day for painting tommorow for you Cheers Phil

Hi Geoff Had a big day on the plane today both rear wing attachments are done and a new roof just have to prep and paint the roof .What do you do to prep the new metal? i just rub with scotch brite and wipe with prepsole then etch prime cheers Phil

Hi Geoff Dont worry about the looks 701's are made for bush flying not hanging around in hangers looking shiney and new.Three quik circuits love it, will be geat to walk out the back door and go for a fly one day.cheers Phil
