The Espyder has been on my watch list for several years and the production version sure looks impressive ! As a 95:10 RTF aircraft I think this would sell well here - What do you all think please ?
-
Haha - Its actually looks like it over the houses but its within the field... just. Also, this is FPV flying so that the view I get wearing special video goggles so fly the plane in real time as if I was sitting in the actually plane.LOL, I thought "who's this idiot doing aeros over houses" and then I realised it was a model airplane! Great video from the pilot's perspective. -
Here is one I did......

I would think eather would ruin your day/life.Hitting a prop does one or two things. Your either clip it like old mate and live to tell the tail. Or the prop drags you into the rotation and KILLS YOU when the next blade hits you. Fifty fifty- 1

Never...EVER ...give anyone water whilst involved in an accident. Reason is, your throat goes in to shock and cant swallow, you may drown in a few sips of water.
Whats hardest, and I went through this tending to a terrible car accident after doing first aid not 3 weeks before...So glad i did.. all they wanted was water. everyone else that wanted to help said the same thing, i would of too.

Oh man.. that is just awful. I hope he did not loose the arm. The message is even more clearer that running an aircraft up around by standers is not a good mix at all.

Thanks Ballpoint... I agree on all Ballpoints !

Yeah I know... Alpine aircraft were the dealer.. but, peter " his brother I don't know his name " built this aircraft as the demo and now is in the process of being the dealer.
-
Your right ! Also, the company have been bought and sold more times than a street hooker and that gave me little confidence in back up. I also just could not love the looks.. Its based on a Rans S-7 and I tried to order a new one from Rans... But they kinda messed me around a bit then said they had decided to no longer offer the S7 as a RTF plane..The Savage Cruiser I flew a couple of years ago had VG's fitted and it could be savage in a power on Stall. I really loved flying her though. -
That was my other choice... I did SO much research on both the HL and SC and the HL won hands down.. actually, the savage cub has some interesting stall characteristics that I felt were somewhat of a negitive given my low hours.

The dealer for Just Aircraft in Australia. and the guy who built my one.
-
I could not tell you as other than the owner of this one, I have nothing to do with them here. Peter is a nice guy and very helpful if you call him.
-
there are 7 under construction in oz...
-
I just bought one on Saturday.. Not the SS version and its a ripper ! all 30 minutes I have " test flown it "
-
btw, you can build it as a trike if you prefer that ? personally.. I think it looks like an after thought as so many often do.
-
Yes, picking an LSA that had a 600Kg MTOW was important for me as I plan on doing some " confidence building " trips solo with alot of gear like tents etc. The HL has a huge storage area and this doubles as a sleeping area if you like.. personally I cant see my practical use for that unless I was prevented from a home trip by weather and had not planned on staying overnight... I guess I could sleep in it but then I would just head to the nearest pub !
-
Looked it up - Mine is 314 Kgs. so full fuel and two up is possible.
-
I could be wrong but it was about there.. Plus mine has the cockpit interior kit that looks great but is sure to add a little weight. what does your Sav weight ?
-
My Highlander ( like the sound of that ) weights in at about 320 Kgs from memory. It has bigger wheels and PPG paint and long range tanks so these add to the weight obviously I have been told you could be one under 300 Kgs.
Kyle, for what its worth, Im very low time and whilst my landing was more of an arrival I found it was very controllable. I would not of bought it if I had felt it was not a safe easy plane to learn with.
