They cover suicide after a period of time, You would hope Aviation is seen as a better decision. If you start flying AFTER you sign on the dotted line, you are still covered. The exclusion is only if you are flying at the time of taking out the policy.Peter -
Congrats Winsor :clap2: Now for the Nav and then the Sky's the Limit

Drove out on Saturday with the Powered Parachute and 3 kids in Tow (forgot the camera). Could only stay one night but got each of the kids up twice for a look around. Great conditions for Parachutes and the half dozen Powered Paragliders had a ball. So much that they are talking about around 35 of em holding their annual Fly In at Inglewood from 8 -10th July (to be confirmed) and the town will provide same facilities. I will endeavour to get some PPC's along to play with the PPG's.
Was a good night Saturday night caught upwith some interesting characters. Sleep was interupted by the 2.20 and 4.20am freight trains that passed feet from my head in the tent, funny, some didn't even hear them (must have had some sleeping medicine). Already in the Diary for May Day weekend next year.

This is the other thread HEONhttp://www.recreationalflying.com/showthread.php/119099-Firewall-forward-kit-for-Jabiru-Rotax-912Sorry about bringing up a old forum, but I can remember a forum that spoke about firewall forward "kit" (non Jab) for Rotax fitting into a Jab.Can not locate it. Can anyone put me on to that forum, or person/persons who know about "the kit" (I think it was from Sydney area)

Erps
I'm sure many have come accross these units. Great for Vehicles and Maritime. Auto units are small and not much weight. Why not Aviation ?

Surprisingly my email notification of Marks post was formatted perfectly but when I visited the forum it was as we all have witnessed.

Looks like I have to answer my own question.
Weight of Jab 2200 inc exhaust etc 62.8kg
Weight of 912ULS inc Gearbox exhaust etc 63.8kg
So not much in it, still going to have over 270kg carrying capacity inc fuel in a Factory 170 after conversion..........

Hmmmmmm......Have said before and still feel a Jab 170 with Rotax 912 ULS (100hp) would be a fantastic reasionably priced Australian tourerCurrently have 280kg usable (320kg dry) in a 170 with a 2.2. What would be the dry weight with a 912.

Cryptic - or was it you:cool:

I'd need a pretty big sail and a possibly a jet engine to get the Hilux over the fence.

A few pilots have told recently of their encounters with Large Birds. Here is a different twist to Flying with Birds........

Checked out the specs on the Aerokits site
Cruise on the Sav S 100hp @ 75% 179kph ( 96.6knts)
Cruise on the Sav XL 100hp 90knts ( 167 kph)
- both show consumption of 18.5lph @ 75%
The flyer for the "S" model shows Max and VNE up to 10% higher than the XL/VG
Is the "S" a better performer or is there another reason for the difference.

Thanks for the feedback Dazza.

Have been asked to take some Pics of a College at Jimboomba. Looking for a strip within several nm so I can use my Powered Parachute. Been checking Google Earth and see a couple of private strips in the area - is anyone the proud owner or got any info...

Yeah, drove up Yesterday and had a look and a chat and took a few pics but Thomo's are nicer. Was eyeballing the Spit and had a chat with a guy who looked after them during the war. Lovely spot, Ladies had made some fantastic cakes and enjoyed some coffee, again shame about the Weather.
Congratulations Mark and Denise on your big day, can't work out though Mark, if your mate was the Best Man - why did she Marry you..................

Good one John,

Dont own one but interested in them. The Sav is apparently manufacturer designed to 560kg. I've heard talk the the +4 and -2 factor may restrict that, yet i've also heard that the manufacturer intends to raise the Factory "S" model to 600kg but not the Kits - Food for Thought
