  1. Mate,

I'd send it back, looks like it came with a little person (unless you ordered one). From my experience they make a lot of noise and mess and cost you a fortune for about 30 years LOL.

Actually, looks like a future Pilot if ever I've seen one. Dad.......can I borrow the keys for the Plane??

  2. Thanks Johnfor all the info re Birsdsville I am looking forward to going this time round as I missed out on the recent trip to the center. Yes I to think it is a must see event to experience at least once in a lifetime and I cant wait to get going.

It seems that pilots flying in are realy well catered for too this year with a tent village being set up for about $60 a night including breakfast and dinner which would allow people to travel two up without having to take along a lot of extra camping gear.

How many days do you think the the round trip from Kilcoy and back will take including the extra excursions on the way home.

    Cheers Dags

So, how do you book a tent/bed

  3. Well, made me go and look and renewal is due in August, will keep an eye out for the reminder. Only recently went through the process of paying the rego on the Aircraft.

In this day and age an automated email delivery system is not difficult, may require some software upgrdes but in my view would be money well spent. Necessary forms could automatically be attached. For those still in the dark ages (obviously no-one on this forum as all will have emails) a report can be generated to mail manually. This should solve the problem of late notices (as long as the Computers/servers don't crash but then again appropriate backups etc).

The savings of #members x postage for rego's and licence renewals would be significant.

  4. Realistically it will never hapen if the General Public are in control of their vehicle. Only when the system can safely control the trafic so that idiots have no input. Just like the Jetsons and then you can walk your dog on a treadmill. Here Astro...............011_clap.gif.c796ec930025ef6b94efb6b089d30b16.gif (we don't have a dog icon)

  5. You walk around a Fly-In, see people deep in conversation and maybe don't want to butt in. You probably know them on the forum but don't recognise them in person. After Fly-In's you read here "I may have met you there...." "Was that you with the ....." etc. Its probably a bit dorky but what about RAA name badges with our membership with our username, i.e. "Cosmick". Probably feel like your at an Amway convention BUT its sad if we miss out on a face to face when we sometimes only get the chance a few times a year.

Or has this allready been done.............

  6. Im not even a Bush Lawyer but I would expect that any copyright would be with the printed charts. The digital map is that item scanned and provided you have paid for the printed chart you should be able to own the scanned digital copy. Then, being that the digital map was sold to the user it may be unetical to then on sell a copy of that image to a third party as it may be construed that you are impacting on the ability of the retailer to earn income. Now that that retailer no longer supplies the images, you can no longer purchase them from that source, then by supplying the image to a third party you are NOT impacting on the retailers ability to earn income.

(all sounds like jargon doesn't it).

So I want Digital WAC's from Roma to Birdsville and VTC for Toowoomba/Oakey area - where do I get them.
