  4. Pricey. Avalon In my opinion isn't a good place to spot at. There are only like 6 Landing and Take Off's per day and very little locations to spot at. Check out http://www.rwy34.com/spotting/ for furthur info.
  5. (mod adjusted - removed quote) Yeah I know, still haven't been inside the fence yet! Pricey drop me a PM and we can arrange something. Are you going to be taking photographs or just watching the comings and goings? I would be happy to drive you around for the day.
  6. A Sad and Fond Farewell Darren. It has been great to get to know you.
  7. Hey all. I will be taking a trip up to Alice Springs in late April and I was wanting to know if anyone knows what the loads have been like or what they are for the flights. I will be departing Melbourne on board QF976 on Thursday April 23 and returning on QF797 on Tuesday April 28. Both trips will be on a Boeing 737-800. Anyone got any ideas of where to sit to get great pictures?
  8. AWESOME!!! I stayed at a place like that once, then I woke up. Robby slipped something into my drink the night before
  9. No, but I have seen the Qantas Boeing 747-400 with the One World Livery. Nothing special though.
  10. Some Great photos there guys. OK here I go. Some of my pics from the Sunday. It was Cold, Wet and Windy but that just made it evan better. The Blades of a Chopper. Lots of bolts there. The Connie during it's Demonstartion. Because of the Wind, the Connie never flew on this day. Still great to hear and see it in the flesh. 1 of the Hornets in flight suring their flying display. Jetstar A320 taking off to another great Aussie Destination. This is my favorite Pic. It is my new Background Pic. Great angle. Omega MD-11 was a welcome visitor That is only a snippit of what I got. More to come when I get the chance to do some editing. Hope you all enjoy.

  15. G'Day Martyn and Welcome to Australias BEST, BIGGEST and FRIENDLIEST Aviation Forum on the Net. Great to have you here and your photos are awesome. Some worthy of our Photo Of The Month award. Would you believe I have flown on VH-KDK on a flight from Melbourne to Mt Gambier.
  16. Well I thought I wouldn't go becaue I would have just got home from the speedway but it was rained out so I decided to go. Great day out looking at the old and new aircraft. The flying displays where awesome but it was a shame about the weather. The F-111 display was cancelled sue to the crosswind. It is amazing the size of the Qantas B747-400ER and the V Australia B777-300. Next time it's on I will be going to the Friday Night and also the Sunday.
  17. I didn't see any today. It was very windy and wet.
  18. Have a great trip Darren. Up the Canons!

  21. G'Day Matt and welcome to Australias BEST, BIGGEST and FRIENDLIEST Aviation Message Board on the Net. Just out of interest where do you live? I am from Melbourne and regulary go out to Melbourne International Airport and do a bit of Photography. I am sure that someone on this board would be willing to take you out and show you the sights and the magnificent sounds!
  22. Jetstar only used the Boeing 717's when they 1st started flying. When the A320's started to come, Qantas took the 717's and started to fly them in WA.
