  1. Garuda didn't have a good day yesterday, it went around on its first attempt at MEL as well.
  2. Coop, not so smoggy, maybe a little and some low cloud and a rushed photo . And it's rain season in Zambia at this time, so come 3pm each day it dumps on you very quickly, so that makes for interesting clouds. - Pete <><
  3. Re: White B737. Scott, That White B737 - VH VUY, wandered into MEL today. Yes it was under a Virgin flight number, but it parked where the Skywest normally does on it's Friday flight into MEL, (Virgin doesn't park there, its normally Tiger or Skywest)and a skywest fokker didn't arrive. I did hear they - Virgin + Skywest had a little agreement together in the West. It's the first friday I've worked at MEL for 6 wks.

    Hi

Wonderful Lyn, Congrats from a non flyer (who has plans for doing it one day), who is enjoying following your adventure, and is also enjoying the support you are receiving from other members. Keep doing what you are doing - Having Fun.
  13. There should be a option C.... I can't decide  Airbus yes but I like the 747. . . arrrhhh it hurst to make a decision, i'm going with option C.
  14. Has anyone come across a Gulfstream V with the rego VH-CRQ ? according to the Casa website it doesn't exist, but it was at MEL today, parked at JHAS. It does have the appearance of the Crown Casino G-V's : CCC + CGF. ** Found It ! - the Casa website was slow, VH-CRQ has been registered to Crown Casino, on the 30th of Sept 2010
  15. We had a overnight guest at MEL last night : A41-207. Flew out - very nicely , mid morning.
  16. OOPs, having trouble attaching the picture that shows VH-VGP with "Powderfinger" over fuselage.
  17. Jetstar VH-VGP new colours !
  18. One of the funny names " Chitty Chitty Brome Brome". - VH-VUS.
  19. John can you start holding up signs to the Mauritius planes going over please as they seem to get lost on the ground at MEL. Yesterdays arrival wanted to park in the wrong bay, - had to do a tight turn to get out, and a couple of days ago one got lost with directions with the taxiways. They starting to make the China Eastern Pilots look good. ta, Pete <><
  20. Hi Guys, Has anyone got any info on VH-UZS. It's registered to Toll Aviation, but it's not painted in their colours, it actually has Jet Craft Air Cargo on the fuselage. It's sitting at MEL. It's just got me wondering as my research has Toll owning Jet Craft, but I haven't seen them before, also this rego was part of a write off in '93 at Mackay I think it maybe the same plane, but just wondering . Pete
  21. Very nice pictures Darren, especially liked the inflight cockpit shot. Hmm sitting in the engine, that may have been the reason that JQ 320 had to return to the gate the other day at MEL ??? !
  22. Jetstar's two new babies - A320-232, are sitting outside JHAS hangers MEL. VH-VGO + VH-VGP, side by side. - Pete
  23. Was visited this morning by a Qantas 747 not seen at MEL for along time VH-OJD 'Brisbane' sitting on Golf 4, next to BA's G-YMMK B777-236 ER on Golf 5, both fully loaded waiting for the Fog to clear in Sydney.
  24. Hi, I'm Pete, I was searching the web looking for a lost Virgin Blue, when I came across this website. It looks impressive and not as snobby as overs I've come across, I look forward to your help getting info, and me returning info to others. I'm particularly interested in movements at MEL, as I work airside there.
