Hi Greg,
have a look at the Icon A5 (built in your country), that might get you thinking of offering a tad more that $100. haha!
on a more serious note there are a few around, SeaRey comes to mind, they offer folding wings as an option.

thanks Ken I saw it today, grey moment I think

Ahhhh! The pill merry go round. Doctors don’t make any money from a healthy person or a dead person

Welcome Joe, ditto about being a bit late but did you consider a Bushbaby Explorer mk 3 ? I am building an Explorer now. Good performance either end of the envelope.
My criteria was, Rag and Tube, Tail dragger and folding wings. after studying -- emailing and even phoning a few manufacturers I settled for the Explorer from KFA Africa, and I'm glad I did as Stefan from KFA is more that helpful. Building has not gone as quick as planned but now that I'm unemployed things should move along faster.
I also am GA / RAAUS and presently fly a Bulldog. I plan the Explorer to be under CASA umbrella as long as I can keep my med. which should be getting easier now.
I'm sure you will like your Hornet.
Cheers Steve

My iPad Air is about 3 years old now and since I downloaded the 11.2.1 update it runs like crap!. its slow and most times when searching
it will go from 4-5 bars to no service at all. My Nokia N95 at the same time doesn't loose a bar, both are on the same Telstra plan. Makes one
wonder if Apple are able to slow the older iPads to prompt customers to buy new. BTW the old Nokia which is about 15 years old now
outperforms any smart phones that are in the vicinity and I do travel to some of the most remote parts of OZ.

Hi Stefan, I'm still working on the Bushbaby but of late i haven't had much time spare, wings are finished and ready for paint as you know. the fuselage
is near ready just final cleanup of the elevator and rudder mod. . . covering and paint to do.
I think you sent me the SA Flyer through Viber, I'll check again and let you know.
cheers Steve

I wasn't aware you could use OzRunways for any PPL nav.

I don't think $30 is unreasonable for Air Venture. We run 2 sprintcars and we all pay to get in to the venues drivers and crew (and its a lot more that $30 ) some tracks refund one driver and 2 crew - most times we have 3 crew. My argument has always been "would you charge lets say Neil Diamond to attend a venue where he"s entertaining" I don't think so.

I think your on the money Onetrack, Pilot seems slow with rudder input, and I'm sure the 380 servos aren't that slow.
But we can only guess what stress the pilot's going through on finals
-
He's well behind the curve with his rudder movements. Are the 380 rudder servos that slow to respond?I think your on the money Onetrack, Pilot seems slow with rudder input, and I'm sure the 380 servos aren't that slow

Yea true Heads, I guess with all the effort and huge cost of a venture like this there must be a scientific gain somewhere and you gotta admire that. To me and I guess many pilots it appears not to make sense and doubt it will ever fly safely and economically. The one you posted was a bit more sensible which also appears Canadian. And your right pretty clever.

I think it would need a 100 hourly with extensive NDT every circuit Nev.

Looking at the rego it appears Canadian

Aussie ambulance sirens would be the go. Don't know how heavy or bulky they are though.

Do u have a spare seat Scott, don't know if the Bulldog will get in there, then I have to be home. I'm still in the
NT atm till who knows when.

Could be an advertising gimmick Phil and the +6G could make the inexperienced feel it was aerobatic.
What is the CAA E4455 exemption.
I also noticed they give a weight for the cockpit and extra weight for the wing ???
" I DONT WANT THE WING THANKS I'M A BIT OF A PUD AND IT WILL MAKE ME OVERWEIGHT"

Its a real tragedy Marty and a huge loss for the family especially if they were at the scene our hearts go out to them. I read in one of the media reports that it may have been a student and instructor in the Cessna. ( media is always right )
"Old Koreelah, a horn could be mounted forward facing in the cowl with a flap when closed would still form the
cowl shape, activated from the power supply to the horn through a model aircraft servo, light and easy as. I wouldn't be too concerned by getting sound pitch levels right to suit different hearing types, just get it as loud as possible. Some will hear it which in turn would alarm others.
