I got this email from Reg at www.aerokits.net.au, it is the first confirmation that the Savannah XL has cleared the last hurdle on the way to Natfly 2009:

Hello All,

Six and a half weeks from the time AeroKits...opened the box, the first finished Savannah XL VG in Australia is inspected and ready

to fly in time to be at NatFly over Easter.

I thought about this too, on about my second day on the job. I was going to set a riveter nib in the Tee handle from my tap and die set but I didn't do it because 1. when all the parts are clecoed up most of the holes are easily aligned with a mandril and 2. there is too much risk that the tool give enough leverage to push away light parts (such as wing stringers) so they miss being riveted.
