  1. I got this email from Reg at www.aerokits.net.au, it is the first confirmation that the Savannah XL has cleared the last hurdle on the way to Natfly 2009:

     

    Hello All,

     

    Six and a half weeks from the time AeroKits...opened the box, the first finished Savannah XL VG in Australia is inspected and ready

     

    to fly in time to be at NatFly over Easter.

     

    My gratefull thanks to all who have contributed their time and effort in helping this happen.

  2. I thought about this too, on about my second day on the job. I was going to set a riveter nib in the Tee handle from my tap and die set but I didn't do it because 1. when all the parts are clecoed up most of the holes are easily aligned with a mandril and 2. there is too much risk that the tool give enough leverage to push away light parts (such as wing stringers) so they miss being riveted.
