  1. Once these things get into their groove they scorch around the track...this was quite a close run race...
  2. Scale perfection arrives in the form of this scratch built Westland Wyvern which was displayed by Pete Fullard at the BMFA Power Nationals.
  3. Normally lucky to see two of these amazing machines in the air but the annual BMFA Power Nationals is a bit special. Here we got six and all flew to perfection by their owners.
  4. WW2 Warbirds and turbine Jets in the same slot at the BMFA Nationals. Some skill required to keep these models in close formation but it worked so well.
  5. Great to get a wing that just requires 4 screws to put together. No glue. Took more time to apply the 6 decals than it did to get it flight ready. 90cm wingspan so good size. Comes with everything pre-installed and a 3-in-1 cam/VTX/antenna that fits into a purpose made recess in the wing. Needs a 3S2200 up front. Has 3 different nose covers for different HD cams. My RunCam2 slotted in perfectly. Also 2 ply frames for even greater flexibility. Would need lead up front if you don't drop in a cam. Easy to self launch with 2/3 power. Has good turn of speed but isn't ballistic. Needs a gyro as did get bumpy when I was flying in moderate wind. Priced low at $80 (link is in the vid description). Looking forward to some FPV racing with this with my buddies. Filmed in UltraHD / 4K with some onboard footage to show the FPV experience.

  6. Wasn't aware these projectiles could get THAT quick. I guess having a race tuned two stroke, very little fuel onboard to minimise weight and one wing helps ! Filmed in UltraHD / 4K. Watch out for the super slo mo at the end...it's still fast.

  7. I have done that in the past. The vid tends to get a big long if I show the start up as well because it takes about 60-90 seconds. Here's a nice vid of a big F14 starting up.
  8. Superb Avro Vulcan XH355 bomber from master builder Tony Nijhuis. Fitted with 'after-burners' and at 98 inch wingspan it makes quite an impression. Flown at Southern Model Show to a very appreciative crowd.
  9. Probably the best example of a large scale Sea Fury you will ever see. Sounds awesome and looks stunning...and it's scratch built! A highlight from the UK BMFA Power Nationals.
  10. Definitely the lowest pass you will ever see executed by a very expensive turbine jet. This could have ended so badly...but Mike does like practising his low passes.
  11. CARF 1:3.75 T-45 Goshawk flown at the BMFA Power Nationals recently by Paul Dunkley. Filmed in UltraHD / 4K resolution. Super scale model aircraft.

  12. Probably the scariest thing I have ever filmed. This is a Dreadnought control line pulse jet flown in competition at the BMFA Power Nationals. I wasn't inclined to get too close to this projectile averaging over 200mph...
  13. Another beautiful scale jet flown by Mick Burrell, a regular show pilot on the UK RC Show circuit. Flying his T-33 Thunderbird with maximum smoke at Wings & Wheels Model Show.

  14. The pyrotechnic war is always a big highlight of the Southern Model Show. This year didn't disappoint. Several planes caught fire and crashed. All in name of entertainment and fun for the crowd (and pilots). Here is a great vid of the action. Filmed in UltraHD/4K.

  15. I think a RC powered V12 is coming. I did see a pic on facebook last week!
  16. This is why I'm saving up for a Moki 400 radial. Sounds like no other engine. Attached to this gorgeous scratch built P-47 Reno Racer it just looks awesome with the smoke pouring out of the exhausts. Flown at the Weston Park International Model Show and filmed in stunning UltraHD/4K resolution.
  17. You won't see a better collection of WW1 warbirds on display. Not only are these flying works of art scratch built but they are flown in close formation. The always impressive 'Dawn Patrol'. Flown at the Weston Park International Model Show and filmed in glorious UltraHD / 4K resolution.

  18. Andreas of CARF Models does something I've never seen before with an RC jet. He executes a perfect Pugachev Cobra manoeuvre ! An aggressive change in pitch brings the jet from level to vertical in almost an instant. Used by pilots to evade a enemy chasing them at close range. Just awesome to watch this done for the first time in front of a big crowd. Look out for the 'Cobra' at 3:45 into the video.

  19. Andreas Gietz of CARF Models flying his superb F-100 D Super Sabre at Weston Park International Model Show. At 2.5m wingspan and 3.6 length this is one big scale jet.
  20. Designed; built and flown by Graham Dorschell this big 4 x 70mm electric ducted fan powered not only looks great but sounds fantastic in the air...especially on fly bys at low power.
  21. There is a lot of skill to flying them and in the case of the Hunter flying it in a scale way. I know that the owner takes a lot of pride in how he flies it as it's his favourite full size subject as well.
  22. Steve Johnson flying his J10. Just as well he has the immense power from the K210 engine. It gets him out of trouble in a split second if needed.
  23. Ludo and his family travelled all the way from Belgium to fly at the Wings & Wheels Model Spectacular show with this impressive Christen Eagle biplane. More smoke oil than fuel I think on this flight!
  24. Point noted though. Will try best in future ;)
  25. Mike Burrell flying his superb giant 1:4.5 scale Hawker Hunter at the Wings & Wheels Model Spectacular show. This model is powered by a Jetcat 220Rxi micro gas turbine engine!
