  1. I ride adventure motorcycle's. Tubed and tubeless. Vast experience with punctures. A plug in a tubeless tyre works perfectly. A tube in a damaged tyre or rim on a tubeless tyre works perfectly. ( Patch the inside wall where damaged)

Tubed , get the wheel off and patch it properly or a new tube. There are no short cuts. I personally wouldn't want to land on a tyre that wasn't fixed properly. Once you have done it a few times it does become easier.

  2.  Box shipped Tuesday and has arrived in Richmond CA.

Some prices, if anyone is thinking of importing an aircraft.

    The crate was $2100 USD

Get the said crate to Richmond CA $2640 USD. You can do the maths at .64 cents in the dollar.

    Thanks Lyndon

  3. The Kitfox is about to ship. Wednesday from Idaho to San Francisco. So by the end of next week it will be waiting for a LCL in San Francisco onto Adelaide. Hopefully late May early June it will arrive in Port Adelaide.

Ordered September 2024 with a two year wait time for these aircraft. I'm thinking they like the sound of the long wait, but in reality its pretty much straight away for a build slot.

    Thanks Lyndon

PS. Is this the right place to update my build. ???

Yes, the G5 shares the same Pitot and temp probe.

I would be checking with the source of your info as a Magnetometer is a essential part of your setup.

Also, are you sure a GEA25 is not required ? The 915 I have seen use it and I believed the 916 also required it.

    You need a magnetic compass

You need a separate GPS antenna for the G5

    GEA25

I think your correct. I've misunderstood. I will have to order one of the above as well.

If you have the panel space I would personally go with a panel mount radio. Some people like knobs and it improves the resale.

    Cost is similar.

Either a remote mount or panel mount Garmin radio can both be controlled from the G3X Touch.

True. I never thought of that. I can use it remotely. Plenty of room on the panel.

I will probably change that now.

Thanks , the GPS is not accurate enough for VFR ???

The G5 will have an antenna for its GPS.

I'm guessing the G3X will have the same set up. Thus two independent GPS units, or would they share the same remote antenna??

    Fantastic, thanks so much.

One last question, I've opted for a remote radio. I will use it thru the G3x. Im thinking it's modern and will be fine. I also like the idea of working on one panel. I have also opted for the AP 507 head unit. ( Which is contrary to the above). My thinking is I like to feel knobs and buttons and wheels when making inputs to the way the aircraft flys.

    Right choice on the Radio?

    Thanks Lyndon

Consider it a remote compass that feeds into the G3X Touch (and G5).
