  5. The word "missing" has negative connotations but it is not true for many aspects of aviation. Missing the ground with many parts of the aircraft takes practice and there are a number of ways to make practicing this routine more enjoyable, the low pass, and touch and go's are just 2. Creative pilots though find other ways to practice avoiding the ground. FAR 61.57 requires pilots to have 3 take offs and landings every 3 months before carrying a passenger to ensure they can put the wheels back on the ground safely without other parts of the aircraft touching the ground. So whatever your aiming at, remember sometimes it is good to miss. --- Watch Now!

  8. Flying wings have been around for years, but unlike all the flying wing incarnations including the B-2 and F-117 these light sport aircraft have no control surfaces and rely on weight shift to control the aircrafts direction in flight. This technology is not new and harkens back to the Wright brothers. Weight shift control aircraft are capable of speeds in excess of 100 mph and can fly as slow as the mid 20's. With gross weights of 1000 lbs. they easily carry 2 and have a range of upwards of 500 miles. It's open cockpit flying at its best. --- Watch Now!
  9. Movie trailer. This program is a great introduction to learning to flying a weight-shift trike, or sometimes called a powered hang glider. With modern technologies and enhanced training techniques learning to fly an ultralight weight-shift trike is easier than ever before. Filmed at the Arlington Air Show in Washington State, Monument Valley and Hawaii, "Starting Triking, Freedom to Fly Ultralight Powered Hang Gliders", covers a first scenic lesson experience and moves through a couple of flights to ultimately, expert pilots demonstrating advanced techniques, all with spectacular in-air footage and great soundtrack. "The DVD can be used by anyone to present a positive image of ultralight flying, today", says Paul Hamilton. "Schools can use it to recruit more students and incorporate it into their lesson package. The video helps instructors save time in the overall training process and make students more effective learning to fly." --- Watch Now!
