  1. Justin most 582 drifters here lift the fuel from the belly tank with no problems. Had a 503 with the same set up as your proposal. And i found i became parinoid on a long trip that the fuel was being pumped into the top tank. Unless you have a gauge connected to the back tank, it could be a worry. Love the idea of converting to a 912 would consider it if i was a bit more mechanicaly minded

  2. Dave has it right Rec aviation at Gympie. Great guys and they know there stuff. Also they can arrange accomodation near the strip. Gympie is a great place to fly from, with not to much traffic and beautiful countryside

  4. Its here again for those of us who live in South East Queensland. The Annual Fly In Dine In. On Sunday 26th August. Organised by the Gympie Flying Club. Breakfast at Hervey Bay Flying Club from 08:30 then off to Greenfields (Boreen Point) for a leisurely Lunch starting at 12:30. Then on to Gympie for afternoon tea and raffle prizes.   5. I fly both, but find the WB seems to be lighter on the controls and just doesnt seem to have the heavy feeling that the SB has, could just be me I suppose. As stated as long as you maintain the wires you shouldnt have any problems. The only time I have had to tension the wires in the last two years was when I took the wings off. even then its not a huge job to do. Robert
