Don't know any contact details but there is an airstrip right near the beach at Rainbow Beach....I know that Darling Downs Sports Flyers have used it for fly aways and my dad did his Drifter conversion from there...you can land on the beaches in the area too and Fraser Island and its beaches are only a stones throw away from the coast...almost literally. Rainbow Beach is one of the best camping areas in Qld with shower/toilet facilities all along the spit for many kms opposite the airfield...it does get a bit crowded during school holidays.

You should have a holiday at Rainbow Beach near Fraser Island...I always spend a few hours up the blow watching the paragliding...bloody fantastic!

Agreed...flying is an international pastime...I thought it was quite funny and showed what a beat up this story is when the reporter mis-quoted the controller...obviously they could not understand him either....

Now...before anyone gets in points out about all the problems with comms on the airways...remember that the problem is comms in general...not just the comms of foreign pilots...

Now that is bloody cool! I would rather see that than the (Yawn!) Roulettes.

P.S. Now I am guessing that my Roulettes routine is going to ruffle a few feathers???
