I did n't realise W.A., the N.T. and Tasmania had put power on ...........................
(sorry Can't help you - it shows you these systems are available though - I got hold of this because someone grabbed hold of an 11000 volt single line (over a roof - no one saw this line) - certain others did and worked around then - until the unlucky last never saw it)

give you an idea anyway

there was 912 plane parked ........................ for a whole day the carb springs pulled the throttle in too full open
the next 'spitfire' pilot that jumped in had no idea where the throttle was and you betcha - started 912 plane up !
narrowly missing people 912 plane climbed up a hangar wall - 912 plane was broken beyond repair
no injuries to anyone - just a better understanding of prestart checks

clear night or a cloudy night KC ?
-
cynically ! - yeah but ............ you can't expect a bureaucracy to admit a system (ASIC) is a flop
a good burgeoning bureaucracy must continue with the bureaucratic system until the systems bureaucratic annoyance causes bureaucrats to admit the system is a stinker
The system is then (could take some years) excised from the bureaucracy - and the next day ? - it's like the system never, ever existed

its good ? to see the ethics of the 'kangaroo court' are still upheld
............... you still see it from time to time

the MCAS system was disguised in the operating procedure by Boeing - the FAA and pilots (and probably Boeing) were not aware of its significance
this program also made the point that when all those 737's were grounded away from base - there were few airline pilots offering to fly them back to base

kgwilsons takeoff at hamilton reminded me of a cherokee 140 ? at commercial flight school motueka - 1980's - 4 aspiring pilots and the book said this plane would fly but not much flight over the end fence - the book was correct - we were n't much over the fence on takeoff
-
you are doing well for your 81 years Poteroo - I'll look forward to your book - please notify us when done
i read Mr Hazeldeans ? book the other day - pilot stories are always a good read and from your posts I'll bet yours will be just as good

increases the value of those planes that fit < 760 kgs and stall < 45 kts ............................... I guess most of that $ speculation has been made ?
-
when we were pruning pine trees with chainsaws (Taupo rd) - the gang always sharpened up the odd tree - about 3 m above ground - 300 dia trees looking like a sharpened pencil (why ? - when you did 100 / day you just had to do something different)
.................... be careful - there are made made hazards out there

don't want to sound pessimistic but I this machine is probably 'quiet' compared to a 747 - 'quiet' used in advert
she'd (no disrespect to females) kick up some noise when in action

how could anyone watch TV (if you had to) ...................... and it was not the ABC
we in Oz are lucky to have an organisation like ABC - essentially tax payer funded and not influenced by commercialism. The ABC try their best to be the social conscience of our society - we are lucky to have such a unique asset - I doubt any country can boast that ?
the reference to 'jet star' pilot - does this infer a qantas pilot would not do this ? (sarcasm)

petrol, electric or pedal ?

the son in law (150kgs - he's lighter now) and I (95 kgs) went for a fly in a tecnam - notch of flap for takeoff helped
it was heavy flying but when gravity was used - it all felt all just as usual (deliberate no comment about fuel quantity)

Be careful what you wish for.........
‘Every time you ask for a change in regulations, you are creating an irresistible opportunity for an aspiring bureaucrat to increase his authority, salary and number of subordinates- at YOUR expense.
so well put
on numerous occasions I have emailed bureaucrats - and suggested rather than change legislation - they should take up knitting or at least use a 2 lb hammer on their fingers - these suggestions have fallen on deaf ears

we seem to be whinging ................. about people whinging
the human condition is terminal which helps
and OME I always notice your comment about traffic - exhausts and wheezing turbines - you need to excavate a bunker and retreat to there
Whinge: to me the worst thing would be live next to a person that incessantly whistled - good whistling would be bad - bad whistling would be murderous
-
I reckon pilot failed to look outside - and then put the pedal to the metal
Too hot to fly...
