there's one missing
forgot to screw down oil filler on a C152. went for short flight and had to clean fueslage with paper towels - covered in oil
all cleaned up for a cpl flight test which I passed ! - immediately before flight test the local flight instructor said 'you'll never get it' (great words of encouragement)

I heard it once said that the Cessna models that had their model number ending in an odd number seemed to be less successful than those ending in an even number.
.......... thats odd ?

The Yanks have stepped in and made a deal to sell their subsidised barley to China in a trade deal. They don't care about Australia, history has proven that with wheat sales, they did exactly the same thing in the 80's.
if that was planned ..................... smart move
(stepping away from global ethics, countries and politics - a shrewd (for some) business move)

The plastic rego card system worked well -rego card displayed on aircraft

if you are part of a club ................. that group should investigate using the one insurer .................. there are some good benefits to be had (for both insured and insurer)

on 2 separate occasions I have been lucky to sit in the right hand seat while aerial topdressing (nz). On the second occasion the relaxed pilot (ag pilots usually are) allowed me top fly it back to the airfield - a distance of say 20 miles - and to finals
the DC3 topdressers were single pilot operation and carried 5 tons of phosphate from provincial airfields
Provincial airfields saved the cost of transporting the fertilizer to an isolated farm strip - I don't know if that was sound economics

If you are lucky to pocket my $ 750 that I paid by PAYG trust to Scomo ........ you can use some of that to balance any unforseen financial disturbances !

........ if we are grounded till say august 2020 ? (a guess) then RAA will have to allow some mechanism where owners can all go and 'run up' these planes once and a while
its a bit like all the other closed facilities - they need to be maintained for their eventual reuse ?

I can fly with out leaving home, I consider the whole farm to be my home. Can anyone see a problem with this.
Come on T88 ......... how many thousands of acres do you own ?

If you had one truck and no aircraft, you'd still have more trucks than aircraft.
is it that a single truck can't be defined as 'trucks' ....................... is that the answer - is it ?

.................... I'm listening Ian - I hope you pull a big rabbit out of the hat

Yes Mactuk (and others) ............... the majority of us are rec pilots - armchair commercial pilots if you like - we like flying and we particularly like viewpoints from those that have used their commercial pilots license in anger ............... all good subject matter to us / me
Please keep sharing
I find it ironic that ag pilots are mentored and trained and presumably fly in their level of experience (with plenty of willing replacements waiting), but, in some instances the inference is a charter pilot flies in to the blue yonder (also with plenty of willing replacements waiting) - seems that maybe each type of flying (ag & charter) does it differently ?

Trying to prove intent, or criminal negligence, is where a case against Muilenberg would fail.
But if Muilenberg was a European, and worked for Airbus, and an Airbus crashed due to a similar design fault - killing American pax - I'll wager the Americans would have him charged, and extradite him to face court in the U.S.
ooohhhhhhhhhhh the irony !

somatogravic illusion. An optical illusion that can result in spatial disorientation. A rapid acceleration during takeoff can create an illusion of being in a nose-up attitude. ... See also oculogravic illusion. When head is level or when aircraft is flying at constant speed, sensing hairs are erect.
