If somebody wants a RA licence they are going to be waiting for a very long time. The RAA only issue certificates.Doesen't matter, You choose to hold a licence same as a commercial or private pilot. You choose to fly, therefore you should have an asic.Thats like saying mr bad man from syria can gets his ra licence at a small airport with no security check and hire a plane from a small airport and then cause havoc.
I believe the asic shouldn't be based on access to a security controlled airport but instead a high level background check on you and your eligibility to hold a pilots licence.

I would like to take the piss out of kiwis , but since they own a lot of successful small businesses on the Gold Coast and employ a lot of Australians . I wont.

Trump doesn't wear a wig and never has.Trump and his ego, possibly - but Trump and his wig? We're looking at Superguppy territory...https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=imgres&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjfgJ3GtYDKAhUGY6YKHYKGCJQQjRwICTAA&url=http://www.tested.com/science/space/533738-nasas-super-guppyawkward-old-and-irreplaceable/&psig=AFQjCNGAWdGvDNf6EY4dzohaozi25MLZaA&ust=1451456123123943 -
I watched on nine news last night. It was good that they showed this at the end of the news. If they showed it straight after the Tiger Moth crash ( which at the start of the news) aviation would looked even more dangerous.

My thoughts are also with Paul and Rachael Bennett, they must also be going through hell at the moment. Another sad day for aviation in Australia.

Just a quick update, I just found out from a mate ( who found out via the media) that the pilot is 21 years old and the pax was a gent in his fifties.

I think do Robbo, it wasnt long ago when Ryan flew around the world in the cirrus so I guessing he is still quite young.Young pilot.... Not making assumptions but those Tiger Moths can be like a teenager to control and you need a good amount of time on them to get the "knack"Dazza.... Hope it wasn't Ryan he would be around 21 wouldn't he?Edit: Website suspended http://www.tigermothjoyrides.com.au
I have know idea who actually was flying the Moth today it maybe Ryan or maybe sonebody else. As mentioned above, it is pretty windy here today but whether that had any bearing on the accident , we will have to wait to find out during the investigation.

Then tiger moth joy flights must hire it off Paul or something like that. Paul has business interests up here with Tiger Moth Joyflights. I have Paul on face book and nothing has been mentioned.Aircraft is registered to Bennett Aviation at Cardiff, NSW.Paul Bennett flys from Lake Macquarie and Newcastle not far from Cardiff.Ryan Campbell is Pauls operations manager up here with Tiger Moth Joyflights and their pilot.

Nah I don't think so. It from the Gold Coast Tiger moth joy flight mob at Pimpama. They re opened with change of ownership after the last fatal at Stradbroke a while ago.Hope its not Paul Bennett- 1

In the original post you have written rotex engine. Which we assume means Rotax or do you mean The Rotec radial ?

Its a helicopter. It's the loop from zero forward speed that gets me. At 36 seconds, the clouds behind are not moving when he pulls it through the back flip. And again at 1:45. -

Soap stands for Spectrometric Oil Analysis ProgramI better be more specific, the F111's Pratt and Whitney TF30 engines had regular soap samples.- 1

Errol from Global Aviation Products who imports the Slings is going to import from Sth Africa, their version of the Bantam. It is call something slightly different but it is based on the Bantam. Anyway, it is powered by the 3300 Camit. His demo should be here for the Evans Head flyin.Hi Mike, I also add my welcome to our 'club'. Jabiru 3300 on a Bantam! That's a bl***y big big motor for such a light plane. How many times have you pulled the wings off it- 1

And another one bites the dust ( or water in this case). I am sick of hearing about aircraft accidents, can everybody who pilots aeroplanes please start switching on?
