Not good:sad:, here's hoping for a positive outcome.

A small plane has crashed in ranges near Toowoomba in southeast Queensland.

A biplane crashed into bush near Table Top Mountain, near Toowoomba, about 5.20pm (AEST) on Sunday, a RACQ Careflight spokesman said.

RACQ Careflight crews are at the scene checking on survivors.

"We believe there were two people on board," the spokesman said.

"We have winched down to assess the survivors."

It was not immediately known if the plane was involved in any search and rescue activities connected to the Queensland floods.

The ABC news has added the following:-

The biplane crashed upside down into bushland near Table Top Mountain ... One person managed to free themselves from the wreckage and has minor injuries, but the other is still trapped and has a head injury. A Careflight helicopter is at the scene checking on the passengers, and firefighters are approaching the crash site on foot.

I was out walking my dogs and heard the helo and saw it on/near tabletop on sunset, I hope they get everyone out OK. At the time, I thought it was just the AJs wasting some fuel/building hours. Its a bad place to crash as tabletop is one track in/out and super steep sides covered in basalt boulders. Its going to cost a packet to recover the wreck.
