Started to rain quite hard on the way home. :thumb_up: Had to pull over and get the car manual out of the glovebox. 068_angry.gif.cc43c1d4bb0cee77bfbafb87fd434239.gif

That wasn't really Pete who posted that above...it just couldn't be...he didn't use the raining icon for the thread and with him being a smiley kinda guy that uses them to death it would mean that he couldn't have posted that - it's a story that never ends 006_laugh.gif.0f7b82c13a0ec29502c5fb56c616f069.gif

68 points so far. Couldn't come at a worse time. Farmers have the headers out ready to strip what grain there is. Now they'll have to get the spray carts out and spend $5k on round-up etc to stop the grass and bindii. Just can't win!!!036_faint.gif.544c913aae3989c0f13fd9d3b82e4e2c.gif

Geography Dictionary: rain

A form of precipitation consisting of water droplets ranging from 1 to 5 mm in diameter. The type of rain produced reflects the circumstances in which it formed. A mass of warm air rising at a warm front will develop layered clouds and produce steady rain. Air forced to rise quickly at cold fronts will bring heavier rain. These are both examples of frontal rain. Convection rain occurs when warm, unstable air rises rapidly. Air forced to rise over mountains may form orographic (relief) rain.

That's how it's s'posed happen apparently...:confused::confused:

What is a "droplet"?

And is it bigger or smaller than a "drop"?

"

EG A "farmlet" is smaller than most "farms", yet a "toylet" is bigger than most toys (except our aircraft, of course).
