Pre-landing checks.

Could be .... but prop blades bent back usually means no power at the landing (I think ... they pull forward if power is being delivered at impact don't they? .....) Also the undeside looks a bit grubby but not very bent ..... could it have been an off airfield landing with the gear deliberately left up to avoid ripping it off and tipping over?

Maybe not much power, but the prop was turning, or not all the blades would be bent.

True, but isn't that what turbines do unless a brake is applied? .... actually just had another look ... are the blades feathered?

Cheers

I'd wager a soft/grass field landing and he hit a dip or rise in the ground.

Yeh , or an overrun hence the feathered props if indeed they are ....

top right blade has been revolving with a little power....bottom right hit the turf with less power ....and the 2 on the left got bent as they hit the turf with no power....

Very good ... I believe you!
