One I saw at Oshkosh used a flying parachute and had a max crosswind of only a few kts. Some of the bumps around my place make my car airborne for nothing. Sadly I think you will be able to buy a very exciting land based vehicle and a 'plastic fantastic' for about the same price, you may even be able to buy a boat, or have some change left over too. I wonder if insurance is available for when on the road.It would I imagine it would cost a fortune to repair some of these, even if involved in only a minor low speed bingle.
