Guest Maj Millard
I have been notified by several local members in this area, that their September magazines did not come with the voting forms in them. Others appear to have received them fine. I talked today with the RAA office staff, (most are at Narromine until Tuesday) and I have been assured that the problem will be looked at further, upon their return. However in the meantime, the ballot form can be downloaded from the RAA website by clicking on MEMBERS' and then NQ election and printing off the form. The completed ballot forms then needs to be filled out, and posted to the office before 4pm, (EST) on Friday October 11th, 2013. Please take the time to vote and exercise your right of choice. ..IMPORTANT !!!....you must mark on the back of the envelope the following : RAA membership number, and ' For NQ ballot election'. .otherwise the vote will be invalid and not counted.............Thanks,.............Ross Millard. Guest Maj Millard
Russ I think you 'll be right there. If you like, give me your membership number, and I'll call the office and get it sorted. As I understands it, with all the rego envelopes they get, plus membership renewals etc, and with only two weeks or so to go they don't want ballot forms getting lost in the works. They will probabily look for ballot envelopes specifically. I believe they need your member number to check that your a current member eligable to vote..............Cheers ......Maj... Russ
Scrap ASIC cards for a starter, 2ndly......have "local" get togethers, chaired by RAA, keeping folks abreast of matters, listening to folks etc, love a good sausage sizzle. 2 per yr each state....ie, NQ...then SQ area, same for every state, cost to Raa would be bugger all. I,ll get back down me burrow now..... 1

frank marriott
Around YBTL in the last 12 or 18 months there has been several get togethers (nothing formal) , all good. Even Ross keeps his hatred of Jabs to himself as most have more Jabs then anything else, always a cross section of aircraft but numbers are numbers. The aim, which is working, is meetings of flyers and it does not matter your choice of aircraft, otherwise the gatherings would be smaller. (Both VH and RAA) I missed one recently because of strip length and conditions but that is my choice of aircraft but then caught up later at Bowen at another one. Some people on this forum should consider this aspect, or maybe they are only computer flyers.
Guest Maj Millard
Frank, yes as you and I have discussed these formal/informal little fly-ins are great, and just as much fun as the bigger ones. Doesn't really matter how far you do, or don't have to fly, its the meeting and socialising with fellow flyers that is the good part. We must be due for another at Starke by now ????? ....... I'll try and got one organised for Ingham some time soon....................Cheers Ross.
fly_tornado
Even Ross keeps his hatred of Jabs to himself as most have more Jabs then anything else, Frank, I don't think you could describe the affinity most have with Jabiru as hatred. Its a bit like a car forum, you have people on car forums raving about how awesome their Kia and Hyundias are but we all know they only sell on price, just like a Jabiru.
