Annual Costs

Greetings all you lucky Jabiru flyers.

 

I am rapidly approaching going solo and aim to get my pilot certificate asap.

 

Quite challenging doing circuits at present with the winds we are experiencing but it is really good for confidence and skills. Had a great session yesterday.

 

I am considering the idea of a shared use arrangement for a new J170 to be based at Tooradin or Tyabb.It would be really helpful if I could get some idea of annual costs involved in ownership. Insurance, maintenance, hangerage,hourly running cost etc.

 

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Hi Keiran.

 

This has been covered many times here. A good example is this thread. It even contains a good spreadsheet with cost breakdowns.

 

Just use the search facility and you'll find heaps more.

I wouldn't be so quick to reply with such a definitive answer! I know of a couple of spots ay Tyabb in private hangars. One is coming up very soon. Depends who you talk to!
