HAGAMAN — A propeller fell off a single-engine plane this afternoon and sliced through the roof of a home in the Montgomery County village of Hagaman. Fortunately, police say, no one was hurt. The homeowners on Green Acres Lane weren’t home at the time. And the plane had enough altitude and speed to glide into the pilot’s nearby private landing strip without incident. “The biggest thing was nobody was injured,” said State Police Senior Investigator Jeffrey Ullman. “This was an older plane, but it was a pretty good size propellor. So everyone was very lucky.” Ullman declined to identify the pilot, who wasn’t charged following the 2 p.m. incident.
