Title.

Is that aircraft callsign for real?.

On the matter under discussion, prioritising your goals depending on what you have going for you (what is left of your functioning aircraft.) Regardless of the terminology used to describe it, the phenomenon should be well understood. Overload leads to confusion and incorrect decisions. Load shedding of the irrelevant is required. eg. If doing ALL the full checklists delays the return to land and the wing spar burns through, then doing the checklist could be the cause of the bad result. The high priority NEED to land as quickly as possible with an uncontrollable fire, has to be the over-riding factor. A more simple example is being distracted by a controller's instructions in the circuit, and the plane loses speed and crashes from 300'. Nev..

CIRCA 1978 Sweden i think and it is a real callsign. knew you would like it Major.

EXPEDIATE and refer to your emergency check lists not your normal ones.

for the controller "STAND BY" he can wait. Fly the aircraft and deal with the situation and everyone else can wait.
