Peiler
Hey there to all those knowledgeable types... I am trying to find a flying school on the west side of melbourne, preferably for RA. I have had a look at Point Cook which looks like it is starting up GA training shortly, but... does anyone know much about training at Bacchus Marsh? So they train in RA? Any good/bad reports or views? Cheers, Chris
DarkSarcasm
Perhaps PM Ian, I'm fairly certain he flies out of Bacchus Marsh :)
djpacro
As far as I know, TVSA is the only school with powered aeroplanes at Bacchus. I am sure that others will offer suggestions on RAA options out west.
Peiler
Thanks Dark & DJP. I had a look at the TVSA website who appear to be GA only. So I am open to any other thoughts/ideas out there!
Neil_S
Hi Chris, Penfield Airfield just north of Sunbury teaches RA. Check out Learn to fly at Airsports Flying School, Melbourne, Australia ...and give Terry or Rod a call. They will be very happy to give you details and start you off on getting your RA-Aus licence. Peiler
Thanks Neil - just what I was looking for! I'll get in touch with them and get stuck in. Cheers, Chris
brilin_air
Hi Chris, Penfield is close to Melbourne, Bacchus Marsh only does GA, or a bit further to the west is Ballarat, either the aeroclub or Inbound Aviation, closer to Geelong is Lethbridge. Plenty of choices out here. Brian
