  1. Whilst I believe it's a good idea to keep some rules in place such as no more than a couple keeping the approved distance. Schools stay closed, public events can remain banned all that's due to a numbers game, more numbers more risk BUT not to be able to fly taking off and landing at the same drome in your own plane is just crazy same as the fishing, can't go fishing on your own in your own boat out in the middle of the bay, again just crazy! A rethink using common sense (difficult by our Govt) needs to be looked at!

  2. AOPA Australia CEO Ben Morgan yesterday wrote to Prime Minister Scott Morrison seeking an approval for recreational and private pilots to conduct flights for the purpose of running aircraft engines during the COVID-19 restrictions period.

  3. Seems that the Swedish solution is to take special care of the vulnerable, while the rest of the country caries on--hoping that the young & fit will develop a resistance & the virus will eventually die out. This is the link for the article. I think it looks good. We old & infirm have to go someday.

Oh wish we had their leadership!

  4. I can't imagine rioting in the streets, but there'll be a fair bit of civil disobedience in weeks to come, if the authorities don't roll back the tight clampdowns, to something more acceptable - striking a balance between spreading contamination, and ensuring people can get back to doing everyday things - still with the simple rules of minimal touching, spacing and cleanliness, in place. A vaccine will be the only way we return to normality, but that could be 18 mths away.

Very true, my comments where tongue in cheek but to keep the masses locked away for another 4 weeks (I heard today) will have a huge impact on people's mental health. It's the draconian laws that don't make sense I believe they Govt should revisit!

  5. Welcome Flightrite, what have you been flying and what's in the future? I am sure you would agree there is some value in a certified aircraft along with all the AD's that iron out any residual problems.

Oh I like Cert GA just getting too expensive is all I sometimes fly a mates Savage Cub, cheap as ?
