‘Published’..... 37 knots @ 600 kg.
Thanks, it's a bit confusing with SD's post.....
"Stall speed (two up with full flap) will vary for each model 122 Zephyr 35 knots @ 450 kg, 321 Faeta 321 28 knots @ 472.5 kg. 321 Faeta NG 33 knots @ 472.5 kg"

Faeta NG - located in the Hunter Valley NSW - for photos go to Faeta
But not at MTOW "Faeta NG 33 knots @ 472.5 kg"
What is the stall speed at 600 kg?

Any one made under carb drip trays for carbs with the air filters on the back?
I’m looking at making a set out of aluminium with a 6 or 8mm i.d. drain tube. Images appreciated. Cheers.
A mate used sardine cans under the carbs with drain tubes braised on to it.
Don't forget they also act as heat shields.

No change at all. The plane is on autopilot and the pilots are chatting up the hostess....

You need to pay attention Turbo, there is no knob to adjust the TAS scale, it is just a very funny sticker or photoshop
Yes just a sticker held on with Bluetac...

I refer you to post #101
I understood what you meant and agree. Years ago I had a accident and people were saying I was hungover, only had lemonade the night before. People talking crap instead of just asking someone who new what happened first hand.

I'm a Drifter fan but I don't see these sorts of speeds as being the place to be. The overspeed dive Power OFF (in lieu of a sideslip) is effective because of the drag characteristics but you don't go to those speeds when doing it. The plane is what it is. Why push it into questionable situations? Nev
It is/was part of the test fight requirements.

I was involved with some testing with the 80 hp Verner installation. One of the test requirements was to go VNE + 10%. The Verner would go straight through to 90 kts straight and level, but those wires would lose a lot of tension. I don’t think I would like to have seen them any looser.
Had a Fisher special (full acrobatic model) up to 90 knots a couple of times during test flights, it had the symmetrical wing. Wayne said to put 82 knots as VNE but you are good to go 90 knots + in good conditions.

Yesterday and today, I broke the lockdown laws......I drove to my other property from my residence, the reason was to start making firebreaks with my bulldozer as we will have a massive fire risk within a month, when it cools off I will be back at it again tonight. Was my reason good enough? NO, as I am not allowed to my other property for ANY reason.
Too bad, care factor zero on my part. On my way there, I stop and talk to our local Rural Brigade Fire Warden (another no no). He says, hope we don’t get any fires, only allowed 2 persons to a fire truck, no more. So, IF we get a bushfire......it’s tough luck for getting fire crews, and people wonder WHY I jack up on these silly rules.
Well for Aviation content, one of those fire breaks is going to be BIG:-). We get BIG fires dontcha know:-). It’s secondary use will be my airstrip WAHOO:-))
I'd go for "d"

Depends on the model, bracing style and manufacturer. Lockwood "Super Drifter" with a Rotax 912 UL 80hp has a cruise of 65 knots & VNE of 74 knots
My Drifter is a certified wire braced, the photo is of the original owners manual, so 80 knots for mine.

VNE supposedly is 85 mph or 74 knots. She'll be singing at 82 knots

Both wrong, 80 knots but you would need a fair bit of nose down and power on..

If it comes loose and goes into the prop you don't make it home.. and you have a pile of mincemeat on your hands. Nev
Obviously you have never used Bluetac to hold bits together on a aircraft before, just as good as duct tape and welding wire.
-
The sticker says just under 180 knots but it's held on with Bluetac so should be good for 82 knots.
I'll go for a fly later and try it later.

LEVEL was the key word.. Nev
Was straight and level :smile:o

Don't know where the first quote came from..........

Through our local club the Vic government has told us that we cannot drive or ride vehicles on historic plates. Even if we are going to the shop. The police will stop us and the presumption is that you are out driving for fun. I suspect that this would not stand up in court but it is "a word to the wise".
Then there are things you actually "can't" do, like get to 100 knots in an X-air standard in level flight.
How about in a Drifter

How did you manage to take my post as been against Mark as the agent.
I wrapped he is and will be looking into getting one in the future.
Mark has posted true experiences from people who have test flowen with these props, not just taken convenient figures off some website.
