ABA had a "slight" issue with hail a few weekend ago up near Scone. Wings are currently stripped and being recovered. I am taking the opportunity to repaint it in the original RAF colour scheme so will look somewhat different when it flys again early in the new year.

Nice aircraft. What weight carrying capabilities ?Something different today, hitched a ride back from Maryborough in the Seamax. Weather was perfect so lots of splash & goes along the way. Great fun!!!The SeaMax will soon be on line with ProSky Maryborough for water training & endorsements. The Sandy Straights between Maryborough & Fraser Island are an ideal place to enjoy this type of flying. -
And a Stearman

I have always just used the New button when in the forums - and it went straight to things that had new items. Now you have to press New and then select Forums - is there any way to make this a one selection thing again ? If you are viewing forums I think it should assume that when you press new that you just want to see new forum posts ?

We have a 37 Empire Star 500 in the shed - wonderful bike to ride !Hi Nev,I had a 1937 empire star BSA 250cc, with foot gear change, & it still had the bolt studs on the tank for the hand gear. Was offered 1000 pound and any new BSA in the BSA dealer's shop.
Shame, my mothers boyfriend took it for scrap to pay his gambling dept.

Our son took about two hours to travel the length of Camden Bypass this morning !! We tried to go to Camden but the traffic was at a standstill on Burragorang Road so turned round. Tim S took the photos. I have not been down to The Oaks airport today but I expect its rather damp. The only way into Camden Airport was by air. Did you get caught in the traffic jam on Burragorang Road? I went through The Oaks, but not past the airport. I wonder how it faired.OME -

I have been having fun looking back at tracks on OzRunways - one from last weekend attached when we did an arrival into Camden via the river at 500AGL. Tower is happy to approve if you ask.
When we went way to Echuca my wife rather liked the general tracking page where she could follow our progress tx.ozrunways.com

There is a guy at Camden who was setting this up with the intention of using 5 Harvards - not sure where it got to

I guess my point though is that if they are assessed as high risk I certainly dont want to be sharing the airspace/circuit with them. It was not meant to be specifically about the need for a passenger endorsement for RAA or not.IanR. The answer is that they can go out and run the risks on their own. When they can demonstrate that the risks are lower, then they may get to carry a passenger. -
One would have to ask why these people are actually allowed to take an aircraft out by themselves at all if there flying is high risk ?Some pilots have personality or physical defects that are likely to make their flying high risk. For this reason, I have been known to delay or refuse to issue the endorsement. -
Spent the night in Wagga - just got back today ! Great weekend - including a "spectacular" Auster formationAwfully murky around the ranges to the East so I hope everyone got home ok.I saw your Super Decathlon there, DJP, looking very nice as usual. The guy with the Acrolite (?)(baby biplane)(Denis) mentioned he was very grateful to you for assistance given at Lilydale a while back.

Jealous !! I was looking at importing one a while ago but the dollar tanked and made it un-economic !! Love them.

Depending on exactly where you live, Camden isn't that far and has a number of good schools

The pictures are interesting - for a motor that has only done 5 hours seems like quite a lot of vertical scuffing and the deposits on the cylinder walls look like rust ? Is the scuffing normal for this type of motor ?

Missed the first episode - hopefully it comes on again sometime
