  1. As a teacher myself, I have to agree with Tomo. You need to feel comfortable with your instructor, and develop a rapport. Lots of folk know a lot, but can't teach it:nerd:

  3. Flew a few circuits in a strong crosswind a few weeks ago in the Jab120. Check out my video. Good luck with the radio exam:) ps I'm at about 21 hours, soloing this weekend hopefully! John.

    Welcome Steve How's Townsville treating you? I am ex RAAF and spent 10 years in the 'ville at Kirwan. Back in Tassie now in the cold :)
  11. There is an added surprise though - the kids have to fill out a 20 question worksheet during the excursion, and then they are entered into a draw for a free TIF (which I am paying for).
  12. I encourage my grade 6 students by teaching an aviation unit to them each year. We make model planes, test them etc. and learn about the history of powered flight. This year I am taking them to Georgetown for a flight in the Jabs! The girls are just as interested as the boys which is good. I keep telling the girls that they would make great pilots, as they are fast learners!
