  1. just for the record VUN's movements 20th & 21st Sunday 20th ADL-NAN-MEL VBH157/184 Monday 21st MEL-ADL-DPS-PER-DPS VOZ211/VBH194/173/172 Windsor68 I have VH-VUC on VOZ616 MKY-BNE for yesterday For Mattie and others confused by the codes all Virgin group flights use the DJ code, though Virgin Blue domestic log on ACARS/SBS etc as VOZ, with Pacific Blue (NZ) logging as PBN, Pacific Blue (Aust) as VBH, and V Australia as VAU (The difference between Pacific Blue (NZ) and Pacific Blue (Aust) is the ZK or VH rego - all Pacific Blue liveried planes belong to Pacific Blue, even though the VH registered ones also fly domestic for Virgin) Any other questions just ask
  2. My guess is Daz since VZH is going to become ZQB in the next day or so and head over to its AKL base
  3. this will all be correct - yesterday VUN would've operated ADL-NAN-MEL giving her plenty of time to get up from MEL to do the BNE-MKY-BNE run. Mattie, Chainy et al if you're interested in any of the VBH routes etc let me know or check out my blog, Pacific Blue is one of the airlines in my sphere of particular attention.
  4. Hi Dunk Welcome to TAA, you will enjoy yourself here.
  5. happens to the best of us mate, Im sure I regularly miss things heading in or out of BNE going right over my place
  6. VH-VGZ has done a lot of DPS flying on PER-DPS, BNE-DRW-DPS and SYD-DRW-DPS routes, I also have records of her flying regularly on PER-AVV and BNE-PER, but then again she has done some SYD based flights
  7. Just looking at the radar and see while having breakfast I've missed the US depts UA863 N197UA B744 SFO-SYD UA839 N105UA B744 LAX-SYD DL17 N705DN B772 LAX-SYD also noted JL772 JA707J B772 NRT-SYD had diverted to OOL and has recently departed there for SYD
  8. Was quite lovely to wake up and spend the next little while watching the heavies dept one after the other for SYD - flew right overhead my place watched these aircraft pass over at about 5000-8000ft on the resumption of their flights QF6 VH-OEF B744 FRA-SIN-SYD QF12 VH-OQD A388 LAX-SYD BA9 G-CIVK B744 LHR-SIN-SYD QF829 VH-OGO B763 DRW-SYD sorry no photos, maybe next time if I get my act together

  10. I have also seen a photo of VH-VZG which is also due shortly, also to go to the ZK register, will be nice to see these birds operating for Jetconnect, especially as they have PTVs

  12. Mattie was PT-TKD from Embraer on its world wide demonstration tour.
  13. Welcome to TAA Shane Enjoy your time here
  14. 3 of the 4 Jetconnect 734s are in the new scheme with spirit of Australia titles (JTP, JTQ, JTR) the 4th (JTS) is in the old scheme with spirit titles, while the 3 733s are still in the old scheme minus the titles. The 734s were repainted in the new scheme with the titles because they are due to be re-introduced into Australian domestic services after the new 738s enter Jetconnect service. The first of the new 738s arrives next week (ZK-ZQA) but the first 3 will replace the 733s that will be retired and sold/scrapped overseas,so the 734s will remain in Jetconnect service for another year or so yet.
  15. Well they've already signaled some changes by updating the schedules with the OOL flights changing from PM to AM Will wait and see what else is happening - I'll get my spies onto it

  17. Hi Damien Welcome to TAA the friendliest forum around Australian parts :) enjoy your time here and stop by the chat room some time and say hi.
  18. I have several friends in NZ who have done their engineering training and work with the RNZAF, and now after having left the RNZAF are flying commercially for Eagle Air etc in NZ. One still keeps his hand in engineering, and is the one who has restored the engines on the Bristol Freighter to running condition. So a possibility is to go thru the RAAF engineering training, I know in NZ the RNZAF send their recruits thru uni, so Im sure the RAAF would do the same. So you wont loose the uni experience. Then after the period with the RAAF and with all the experience you have from the RAAF you can then head out and get your 'wings' and fly for the rest of your life should you so wish.
  19. Hi Brigalow Welcome to TAA, enjoy it here
  20. Pricey having checked another ACARS log for SYD I see PK-GPH of Garuda departed for Jakarta around the time in question. PK-GPH is an A332 and is in the new Garuda livery which seems to match your description as can be seen in this photo
  21. Strategic has been around for a while, they are the ones who operate CS-TMT on the defence force contract. They have also picked up dregs after the collapse of OzJet and will operate the former OzJet Perth-Derby route with an a320. They will operate several a320s both here in OZ and also in Europe where they will charter and/or wet lease them to European operators. VH-SSA seems to be a charter aircraft for the Aussie operation and may replace CS-TMT (I'm not 100% sure on this)
  22. Welcome to TAA, nice to have you here, enjoy your time here
  23. hi Pacman welcome to TAA. enjoy yourself here
  24. Oi Daniel, Tudo Bem? Welcome to TAA, hope you enjoy your time here. Its a great place. Eu falo e entendo um pouquinho Português.
  25. Not sure if this will help you much Ryan - but all I can find in the Perth ACARS logs for yesterday is EBK on the MEL-PER runs, EBL on the SYD-PER run and EBJ as QF6127, so would guess that you saw EBJ, or one of the A333s on the SIN run.
