  12. welcome magishme i am new here and to flying as well but am sure i will have a great time
  13. hey JB i too am new to flying and will probably stick to RAA due to cost reasons and want to just get out and enjoy flying for flyings sake some of these aircraft certainly seem though that you could have quite a few trips in without depleting your bank account
  14. welcome Tim i am a new member here as well as a new flyer still doing my student training but find all the topics on here as good to read, especially as i am only qualified to listen and not make comments lol much like children should be seen and not heard scenario haha.however reading different opinions and methods of tackling issues is what flying is all about i suppose and can only add to the enjoyment of flying
  15. hey Tony I am a new student flying with Coominya Flight Training find it good there not much traffic which is good for me just starting up.Am training on a lightwing and find the prices good for me.Like you said it depends on where you live I havent had anything to do with Caloundra and Archerfield but they also seem to have good recommendations so you should have no problem continueing if you need any more info let me know.whichever way you go im sure all us newer pilots will catch up 1 day cheers.Jeff
  16. fibreglass body did look good would a heavier body mean more stable in flight i wonder what size fuel tanks etc.am only just learning now but the lightwing does seem to be popular
  17. Hey all i am currently learning on the lightwing and have only just started but it certainly does seem to be a nice little aircraft and hopefully i will be buying my own aircraft in the future.which type who knows at this stage but i suppose the type i should be looking at would be something not to fast but sensible for my hours and experience, something with a good history and popular. a type of a/c where i can continue to learn and increase my hours without costing the world in fuel etc. my instructor certainly seems to like them as a trainer and i suppose it all comes down to costs and your own personal choices and requirements but i certainly will check out Dougs site
  18. thankyou am sure i will enjoy
