  1. I had a couple arrive in a quite new dual cab Navara, to pick up a week old poddy calf. I thought they must be going to restrain it in the back somehow, but no, they opened the back door, it had the seat folded up and a rug on the floor, and in went the calf. They then decided to have a yap for a while, nek minnit, the calf is in the front, no worries, they pull him out and poke him in the back again.

If that was me, by the time I got home the calf would have crapped on the console or found somewhere else really good, like down the seat belt retractor. drive.gif.1181dd90fe7c8032bdf2550324f37d56.gifrain.gif.5409f0367857047bb0ed70f1ff7b4d3b.gif036_faint.gif.544c913aae3989c0f13fd9d3b82e4e2c.gif

  2. I don't think it will fly 008_roflmao.gif.692a1fa1bc264885482c2a384583e343.gif.

Reason being, the worst offenders do it because they have an agenda, to get their views in front of as many people as possible, that is why they use these forums - they are popular.

I know you have cracked the whip about this before, and everybody apologises, then amazingly within hours we are back at it.

A quick and dirty way of achieving your goal would be to pick several of the worst offenders and lock them out of the off topic forum.thrown_out.gif.7fbb72ed7fd7195fcf0bc8f5fa5c9c73.gif

  4. I have finally had a chance to catch up with my reading and had a chance to read the article in Dec 2015 "The State of the Industry"At the end of the issue there are a few random facts, there are now 383 less aircraft registered from 2013 than 2015. I wonder where they all went? I am assuming that the RAA assumes they are all being flown illegally. Its a big drop over 2 years considering the number of new aircraft being sold and used aircraft imported from the US is probably greater number.

Assuming that, there are 600-700 new ex-RAA aircraft floating around the country unregistered!

The other thing I noted was also related.

In November's issue I noted in the stats for hours had dropped along with the pilot numbers, from 2013 to 2015. Number of pilots is down 455 pilots from 9822 to 9367 and hours are down 2.09 hours from 25.25 to 23.19hours. Its not really until you add all these numbers together you realise the drop from 24800 hours in 2013 to 21720 in 2015, that's a drop of over 2000 hours.

Assuming that half those hours are done in flying school aircraft you can see how big a hit the flying schools are taking.

Quite a few assumptions and even a probably in there FT.....

  5. Maps and claims on websites dont mean much we found out in expensive experiment.

We have had an Optus tower in our town for over two years, which gives excellent coverage in our area.

When you go to purchase an Optus device from their agent in the next town (27km away) they warn us , that we have "no coverage out there " 064_contract.gif.1ea95a0dc120e40d40f07339d6933f90.gif

  6. The MGL guy got back to me today.

There is a setting in the radio to "join" or "seperate" the two headsets in the PTT . He said seperate them.

I've just been and had a look, and sure enough it was set to join. I have changed it and hope to fly with a pax in the morning. I will report the results tomorrow , but it looks promising.

Buggered if I know how it got changed, because, as I said it used to work fine and it is several steps through the menu which I have never even had the need to open before.033_scratching_head.gif.b541836ec2811b6655a8e435f4c1b53a.gif
